Venus Project

Project "Venus"

Many things in the world do not need a person, corporations slow down the technical process of industrialization .. it is always more profitable to make money on the established ..
Today's incentive is money!
40% of all world wealth is concentrated in the hands of 1% of the world's population.
The army is an outdated social institution.

Jacques Fresco (born March 13, 1916) is a production engineer, architectural designer, social engineer, and futurist based in Florida. His optimistic views and a desire to find a solution that will maximize the benefit for the largest number of people were formed during the Great Depression.
Founder of a libertarian movement called Project Venus.

Resource-based economy

Its main theme is the concept of a "resource-based economy", which replaces the current resource-based monetary economy. Fresco argues that the world is rich in natural and energy resources and that “with new modern technology and reasonable efficiency”, the needs of the entire population of the planet can be met in abundance and, at the same time, removed the current constraints on the possibilities in concepts of economic viability.
To make the idea easier to understand, Fresco gives the following example:

At the start of World War II, the United States had over 600 first-class combat aircraft. But we quickly increased their numbers, producing 90,000 aircraft a year. At the beginning of the war, the question was: Will we have enough money to produce the required instruments of war? The answer was: No, we don't have enough money or gold; but we have more than enough resources. These were the resources available that enabled the United States to achieve the high productivity and efficiency it needed to win the war. Unfortunately, this was only thought about during the war.

Fresco argues that for this concept to function properly, all of the Earth's resources must belong to the common heritage of humanity, and not to several of its individuals. The practice of allocating resources through monetary methods is inappropriate and ineffective for our survival.

-Humanity is already developed enough to change the social structure to solve the problems of survival and improve its life, up to the life of each individual member.

-Universal cybernation and automation of all production processes. Development of artificial intelligence.

- Abolition of money as an instrument of control over resources and productive forces.

-Nationalization of resources and their saving by ending the competition between manufacturers of similar things (capital market).

- Abolition of the "western" types of representative democracies, the transition to universal control over social and industrial life (again, through universal cybernetization - direct expression of will through a computer).

- Freed from the problems of survival and routine work, a person will indulge in creativity, research, etc.

-New principles and programs for teaching children.

3 phases of the project

1. Creation of the planning center for the project "Venus" in Florida (completed).
2. Production of books, brochures, films and video materials about the project, with the involvement of people who create in the same or similar directions. It is also planned to produce a full-length film or television series, reflecting the ideas about the project and ways to create a new society for a large audience.
3. Construction of an experimental city, which will be a visual confirmation of this concept and the center of further research.

Jacques Fresco developed the conceptual view and schemes of the cities of the future, which can accommodate millions of people to live, transport systems, robotic systems for the construction of cities without human intervention, cities at sea, etc.

I'm wondering what you think about a resource-based economy - an economy where resources will be the main focus, not profits?

the main thing is not to the detriment of nature

-The abolition of the "Western" types of representative democracies, the transition to universal control over social and industrial life (again, through universal cybernetization - by direct expression of will through a computer).

They also say that the church controls people.

No, Dolgoff, I'm against it.

Moreover, everything that comes from the Americans smells of a threat to the world and PROFIT for them. I think so.

... all the resources of the Earth should belong to the common heritage of humanity, and not to several of its individuals.

Those. for this you need to unite the world?

B
Breakwater 22.11.21

Exactly. But not so much in the literal sense as in the sense of an equal distribution of resources.

S
Sima4 22.11.21

in the sense of an equal distribution of resources.

They tried to make equality in the USSR. The top fathered, the people existed and were equal to each other, but not the Top.

So it will turn out here. The one who starts equality - that and sneakers. The countries will be equal, and the one who creates this equality will be chic, distributing resources (a liter of gas there, a liter here, three liters for yourself).

No, I pass.

All good boys and girls understand this and think such green ideas. But the truth is that the created mechanism is spinning and this rotation on the one hand is supported by an ordinary cog-man, his natural needs (food, housing, desire for stability, displacing the desire to destroy, that is, "a tit in a sleeve is better ...", well, unnatural desire imposed from the outside), on the other - by those who have a big profit from this. And you can't jump out of this system.

Freed from the problems of survival, a person will not indulge in creativity. He will indulge in debauchery and laziness. In an ideal society, people should survive and fight for existence.

Tochnyak. + a lot

Having received bread, having eaten, a person will look for something to do. And it will require spectacles. Meal'n'Real.

To take away and divide everything - we have already gone through this, and nothing good came of it. And then, who will share. Americans. And it will be like in a coffee ad. "We selected the best and sent the rest to you." Not if everyone has a standard of living like the average American, it will be good, but most likely there will be a bunch of super-rich Americans and a crowd of beggars of everyone else.

Yah? The USSR was the second superpower, while Russia is now a natural resource store with negative demographics.

Not, if everyone has a standard of living like the average American, it will be good. The
natural environment has an exhaustible resource.

S
Sima4 22.11.21

The USSR was the second superpower

Yes, it was. It was an excellent state.

But, I lived there, and I know how he was showering with the City Committee of the Party, what apartments, cars, dachas they had, what they ate and drank. The Beryozka store was always open for them.

while Russia is now a natural resource store with negative demographics.

It will pass. Everything will be chiki-pocky.

b

Naturally, it will pass, there is no negative number. And the resources are finite.

V
Vilvet Assassin Creed 22.11.21

The fact that natural resources are exhaustible, I mentioned in the second part of the proposal, albeit in an indirect text.
Well, yes, there was a superpower, but everything came out, there was only one storehouse of resources.
And the ways in which she became a superpower can be found on the neighboring forum, where Stalinism and Fascism are compared.
Empires built on bones always have one end - complete collapse.
The world is beginning to switch to alternative fuels, and soon Russia with its oil will not be needed by anyone, and gas alone will not get you far. And the gas resource is also not infinite. And when Europpa squeezes all the resources out of us, he will throw it out like a peel from a lemon. Of course, you can say, "and when it will be, there will be enough resources for our age."
As long as we think so, we will remain a "bum", not a "head".

The idea is great, but the material from which to cook is gathered - people suck. Therefore, IMHO, nothing will come of it.

Empires built on bones always have one end - complete collapse.
Wow.
The map of North America is then incorrect, outdated, the USA no longer exists?

V
Vilvet Assassin Creed 22.11.21

It still exists. Huge empires have existed since ancient times and where they are today. The same Romans took over almost the whole world. And what is now left of their empire, one peninsula in Europe. Chinese Empire, Tatar-Mangolskaya. And England. After all, America and India and Australia were its colonies. And now it occupies a tiny island. And what kind of US is it? Well, out of stupidity, they gave her Alaska, so now call it an empire.
So the Russian Empire collapsed, then the USSR, and now Russia continues to collapse. Why don't they want to let Chechnya go, but if they let it go, then other republics will begin to secede. "Say, than we are worse." And then all the kickass of Russia will come. Only Moscow will remain from her.

T
The ghost of totalitarian 22.11.21

And what is now left of their empire, one peninsula in Europe.
There was nothing left at all.
Modern Italy is not the heir to the Roman Empire. The Ostrogoths, the Byzantines, and again the Germans managed to visit there - the Roman blood dissolved.

And what kind of US is it? Well, out of stupidity, they gave her Alaska, so now we can call it an empire.
It’s not because it can be considered an empire.
This is a neo-colonial empire.

. This will not happen in life, it is also like giving all the resources of Siberia to the public.

P
Parrottranslator 22.11.21

And what does the planet have to do with it (why is the project called that)?
Where will they get the place for the city?
Population?
Money?
Resources?
This idea is very difficult, given the characteristics of people. Although it may be doable, it will not live long.

Empires flourish and fall apart, treaties are concluded and terminated, people are always dissatisfied, but for some reason, development is underway, although everything seems to be bad. And for this, the time has not come yet.
