The problem is not only in complexity, but in the monotony of the gameplay, dependence on randomness and a disregard for the player's time. The whole game is like riding a broken bike, you can die just because. I'd rather beat my head against the wall, spend more useful time than I'll play it any more. Returnal is not just boring or crookedly assembled, it is purposefully designed to hit the player's face on the pavement. I completed Demon's Souls, Bayonetta 1&2 at 100%, King's Field, Cuphead, with pleasure. For anyone who enjoys Returnal, I suggest running a marathon with your legs tied together.
