D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die at XO.
I haven't played Deadly Premonition, I'm not familiar with SWERY's handwriting. Has attracted my attention by the name - "D4", how can I not think about D2 and D, and the active use of Kinect. It has nothing to do with D2 and D (although, perhaps, there is one short reference to D2).
Taking up the game in order to familiarize myself with the Kinect and take out another splinter from my memory, in search of copper, I found gold. An interactive quest with very grotesque action, storyline and characters. Detective David Young, traveling in time, tries to find the murderer of his wife, and ideally change the past. A futile search leads him to investigate a very strange incident. I played completely with Kinect, before that my acquaintance with it was mainly limited to voice commands in Skyrim. It is played organically and in an unusual way. It is somewhat delayed, tk. even the simplest actions require navigation and selection by hand, but the dense abundance of details compensates for this. The action scenes are beyond praise. And what music!
The downside to D4 is that it's essentially a $ 20 demo. Season One consists of just two episodes and a prologue, and runs in 3-4 hours. Despite this, the game has a collectable currency, a store and many costumes for some characters. The plot is famously twisted and chopped off almost without starting. It's a shame that this particular game suffered "broadcast cancellation". The director doesn't even want to hear about the second season, Microsoft forgot about it right after the release. There is no continuation either in the form of a comic book, or even in the form of a book, but it all started so interestingly.
I would like to believe that someone will give Suehira money and a studio for the sequel, as it was with Deadly Premonition 2.
