Technical problems with the game (Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N 039; Tasty!)

I donâ€™t understand anything.
At startup, gray screen and game cursor. And if you press any keys, then the screen displays "-PAUSE-". Nothing else happens.
Not a license, of course, but I've already checked 4 different repacks, the problem still remains. For some reason, no one has such a problem ..

About the gray screen at startup, etc. This problem arose when reinstalling Windows and, as a result, the loss of some software. In general, the installation of MVisual C ++ 2010 helped to return everything to its place. Moreover, with the installed versions of C ++ 2008 and 2012, a gray screen appeared (when starting the game), after installing 2010 - everything is ok. I would be glad if someone can help too.
