Cloud console from Sony. Another console revolution?
As many people know, PlayStation will soon switch to PS Network, which will be a cloud console for which you need a SmartTV (samsung or sony), a gamepad and a subscription. The essence of the cloud console will be extremely simple, you subscribe and then you can play on Sony servers, while the game will be streamed to your TV.
Purely my opinion about such a console:
+ Does not require downloading game files, everything happens on the server
+ The console itself is not required
+ Will eradicate piracy
+ Almost unlimited capacity
- So far, a small number of servers (only available in Japan and Canada)
- Requires a high-speed connection
- Currently imperfect technology that does not allow to reduce the response to the level of stationary consoles
- A small number of games at the moment (by December, it is planned to add about 60 games for the cloud console)
And what is your opinion on the PS cloud console?
Nonsense, no servers will be able to withstand such a load, and conceptually complete garbage.
About Steam 11 years ago, they also said that it was nonsense, and what happened in the end?
Another controversial million dollar money sucker. And in general, "another revolution"? The video game revolution is not Sony's prerogative.
Ideally - 100% performance at any time, anywhere and the largest library of all released games.
But in reality there will be lags, depending on the weather on Mars, lost saves, settings, all sorts of restrictions, subscriptions and other slavery, and a library consisting of the finest AAA shit.
And in general, this service has been working for the Americans for more than a year and no one really pisses with boiling water there.
