What is Dragon Age about? (Dragon Age: Inquisition)

I decided to play the Inquisition, they say it's a good game, but first I want to know what the previous parts were about and how they are connected with the Inquisition? Passing the entire series is not an option because there is not a lot of time.

It's the same: several opposing sides. Lots of armor and weapons, friends, mages, battles and castles. Little has changed in RPGs, but graphene and the combat system have become better, and the plot is still interesting, but sometimes tricky :)
