As far as it is relevant for everyone else and stable, I have not the slightest desire to check. Excuse me - I've been tormented enough.

So, the problem:
Spoiler Let's start with the fact that I played it quite well for myself. Some time ago. I played for 120 hours without problems, after which I got tired of the game and found myself a new hobby.
Reinstalled the other day. First run is great. Everything has been updated and everything works fine.
And then, unfortunately, I remembered about the mod for large maps. Put, created a map. But mods are only playable offline. It doesn't matter - I rolled back the game files. But then the unforeseen happened: the card did not want to load normally. Unexpected, embarrassing. I put the mod back and ... I braked and deleted the rollback files (original game files).
What problems?! We start the analysis of the file cache in Steam. He updates me. And... And the game is trying to update. But this time it didn't launch. as well as subsequent times.
No need to tell me about leftist mods, etc. Although the mod is in a separate version, it is also present in the global ARRC modification. And a lot of people play with them and nothing happens to them.
Also, all these are fairy tales about antivirus. Avast, as originally issued permission to the game for freedom of activity on the Internet, has never blocked it. However, I even turned off the protection - no difference. And even allowed the game to create on the network more than Avas automatically. Although he has never given any application less rights than it needs to work (except for completely blocked ones). There are no other firewalls in the system. Even the native firewall is disabled and consigned to oblivion due to uselessness.
Also, fiddling with the hosts file and replacing DNS addresses does not help. Demolition of Steam under the root with a complete cleaning of everything that was installed through it (as far as I know where which tails remain) and subsequent cleaning of CCleaner also did not give results.
The last remedy that I read about that helps is the demolition of the system. What I'm not going to do yet. However, this is not a solution at all.
In total, we have that the game worked and suddenly it stopped. More precisely, it has ceased to be updated only. The game itself, updated, can and will connect to the server. There's just no way to check.
We also have the fact that the problem arose on the same system literally within an hour or two. Despite the fact that nothing was done with the system itself at that time.
And now - the solution:
Spoiler Not having found a steam repack of the game on trackers (naturally, only on a couple of my favorites - I wouldn’t even try on the rest), before trying to use the files from the hacked release, I once again turned to the proxy - maybe it will work.
AND ABOUT THE MIRACLE!!! This time, this time, no less than the tenth attempt, it worked for me! The game has been updated, launched, activated the full edition updates, restarted, updated again and fully functional!
Although thirty seconds earlier the game did not want to patch at standard settings.
So what did I do?
When your patcher fails to connect to the update server, it will expose 3 buttons. The first "Cancel" is to close the game and forget.
Third "Start" - start the game offline.
But we need a second button - "Proxy". Click it and enter the server address and port number. It worked for me with the first one from the list: proxy-besplatno.com Here, right on this link, without flipping through the pages. Although, of course, the list is clearly dynamic. But not the point.
Why did it start now, although it didn’t help before? I do not know. As an option - not set this time the checkbox "Activate proxy". Or Google DNS, which I forgot to change to the default settings. Or maybe all together. But these are the only two differences from previous launches.
