Weirdness with the processor.

Hello, I wanted to ask for advice about the processor. Recently (2 months ago) I bought a 10400f and left a + 1650 box fan on it. Naturally, after such an update, caution would not hurt and I started measuring all loads and heating through MSI Afterberner and AIDA 64. I noticed such a strange thing that the processor used to be in the same cs 1.6 almost did not warm up (38-40 degrees). And now in any game, regardless of its complexity and release date, it tends to the bar of 60 degrees. Checked in many old games (Warcraft3, DS1, 1 Starcraft, etc.). But at the same time, even in relatively new projects (DS3, Warframe, 2 Starcraft, Warzone, The Witcher 3, etc.), the same 60 degrees, well, a maximum of + - 2 or 3 degrees. Who faced please unsubscribe, otherwise some kind of really strange leapfrog. All advice will be taken into account and will check in the evening after work. Thanks for attention.

And in idle time, what is the temperature of the processor?
I have 9900k in idle 35-40 degrees, in load 65-70, I have a good tower

Hello in idle and browser standard 33-38 degrees.

Operating temperature, no need to create problems where there are none... Change the cooler if 60 degrees bothers you.

So I'm not saying that there are big problems with this, I'm just wondering why in the same ks1.6 it heats up to 60 if the percent is loaded by a maximum of 10-15 percent.

For 10400f you need good cooling. I have the same percentage and the gammax 400 tower, but as it turned out it was not enough. The game Horizon loaded the percent by 100% and the temperature was 87. I'm thinking about a new tower.

Open the case cover and see if there is a difference

If you have no FPS limit, then you have 1 core hammered into a hundred and the memory controller is fried along with it. Add command "fps_max 300" to config. As for the cold, they already wrote to you, the 10th intels are quite hot.

Buy a tower and stop worrying about it.

Not every tower will be able to cool this percentage.

thanks for the advice I will definitely try it. Damn, I thought that amd had hot stones, but here it is.

If the case is poorly ventilated, the tower will not save

My 10400F is pretty cold (up to 65 watts). He does not need top cooling. It depends on what temperature you brought to the monitoring. CS:GO is focused on single-core performance. From here, one core will show you up to 60.
But as I understand it, it wasn’t there before. Boxed coolers have not the most pleasant fastening. Check it out, check it out. And it is worth comparing with the same Aida 64 (before / after). I'm too lazy, look and read the comments - how much boxing gives out there.

Well, of course. 9 is even worse, you know? And 11 is generally the rector. There, in overclocking, 6/12 is cooler than the overclocked 10700 in terms of consumption. I have a cold 10400F. In games, all the more so, which I was colossally surprised, even in relation to the AMD 3600. Ryzen showed more numbers.

I know that Intel's boxed cooler is slag, so I'm not surprised at temperatures of 60+ with it in games at 10400. Although these temperatures are not something critical, unlike the nasty noise from the turntable.

And as for this, it's colder, but this is hot, well, yes, everything is relative.

By the way, I changed the thermal paste, cleaned the percent, there are no special changes (maximum -2 degrees). In the Elden ring under 70 is this the norm? I read that you can play at 75-80

Permissible, but rather high temperature, everything is fine! here is a video, so here the temperature does not rise to 60 degrees, but keeps around 50-55 degrees.

got curious, decided to test his i5-10400f in OCCT prog; Arctic Cooling MX-2 thermal grease, ID-COOLING SE-213V2 CPU cooler (tower), CoolerMaster Ammo 533 case; AIDA 64, AIMP2 and DFX were still working in the background, but the load from them is minimal so that dig towards the clumsy UEFI settings, maybe the case is blown sucks or thermal paste like KPT-8 (IMHO). Previously, there was an AMD Phenom II x 4 975 CPU Black Edition with a horizontal cooler with a TDP of 125 W - that was the stove, and this one is mega cold. For the sake of fun, I can still test and rivet screenshots before, during and after.

You have something wrong with the pro, everything is fine with the boxed cooler
