NVIDIA Running on an older Driver. GTX 970 GTX 560 (Battlefield V)
Hello! At the moment Nvidia is actively promoting its new RTX card by cutting speed and forgetting about the older models. Example I was not able to pick out the best driver from November 2018 to January 2019 .
So let's get to it.
How can I run Battlefield 5 on a weak video card with an old driver.
In the example taken two video cards GTX 970 and GTX 560.
Driver version 385.69 and 391
Make the game to start the right driver 416 version.
But we all will go...
To do this, go: C:\Windows\System32 find file nvapi64.dll and renamed anything.dll
You need to choose the correct file, and then the game will not start!
The game is running!!!
The game is running on GTX 560 graphics card! 1Gb ))))
Nice game.

I wonder if it is possible to run RDR 2 like this? I try this way - it does not start ... just rdr2.exe hangs without action in the system ....

I tried to run rdr2 on driver 399.24 and nothing, the process hangs but the game does not turn on.
It worked on drivers 391.35, gtx 550ti, though fps is no good, only if the scaling is set to 80, more or less, but then the soap is hard. BF1 goes much better.
Update: Now I checked, you can just delete the nvapi64.dll file. After this manipulation, the game starts quietly and does not require anything, apparently through it version information is checked. Minus - the nvidia control panel does not work, but the file can always be thrown back.

This is the essence of Nvidia on old video cards chopping off support for new games in fresh drivers))) I don't remember such game with AMD Radeon!
