Money is the main stupidity of GTA 4.
Our main man arrives in liberty city to a cousin to start a new life, and the whole is mired in debt, well, we're broke. Everything is clear, everything is logical. We pass all sorts of missions to earn money and to repay a debt, help a brother out and at the same time to rise, to escape from poverty.
But then, when you open the second big island, we have moved to a nicer neighborhood, my brother, everything seems OK, and counts a decent amount. But again, in all dialogues, we hear the same thing I need money, I'm here to earn some money etc. why the Heck? Why the heck the question is, if they do not what to spend? All sorts of taxis, bars, clothes, is all a trifle. It turns out that the reason he does all these missions need money, and I as a player the money is already fucking do not need. I got plenty of them. To me they are not. I'm so sick of the emptiness of the storyline that I gave up on this GTA and removed.
IMHO, the best was Vice City, where you could buy houses and businesses, was some purpose in the game, fuck all the gangs and build a fucking business.
