My monitor is 27 inch at 1080p. As shown by my experience to the diagonal 27 inch 1080p is very small - the density of pixels is low, you can see the pixels and ladders is very much in games. 1080p limit is 24 inches, not more. At 27 inches you can comfortably play from at least 1440p.
