Experience (Shadowrun Returns)
Personally, I have a new Shadowrun caused quite mixed feelings..almost everything that was in the old games are left - i.e., infinite ammo, no loot, clean the rail the plot.. ie fans of the original will be happy, because they got almost the same game.. but in a new way..
Naturally preserved atmosphere, so that there remained - it became even better.. +the game has good dialogues, but as in the previous parts of the article don't affect them =)
and now will affect what I think is the disadvantages.. ie for me it is the lack of loot and the linearity of the plot.. for the yard 2013th, not the 90s.. you need to develop as in any way.. the game has no saving, or rather they are, but only if you move to another location.. the dialogues are not voiced, but it is supposedly affected by the low-budget, though I think 2 million for a kickstarter project is a lot.. and to find people who agree to take part in voice acting for a very small amount Yes, and all for free - not so difficult.. but I will not get into such things, let it remain on the conscience of developers)
What I want to say in the end, even though I said on the cons and all, this does not mean that the game does not like me.. she's good, but I think it could do much better.. I hope the developers will continue to support it with patches and not leave everything to the modders themselves, for which there is a good editor, by the way.. in General my assessment of her, 7 out of 10 xD
I hope Dragonfall is not a recent addition.The game shocked me with its atmosphere,dialogue.All characters ' emotions are expressed through text, and this is a great achievement Shadowrun Returns.Unfortunately,some people don't like to read and they have forgotten how to think,analyze,reproduce all in my head.
Shadowrun Returns at the time, was the first major RPG project with Kickstarter. Announced as a revival of old-school cyberpunk RPG from the Super Nintendo, using the classic isometric and turn-based combat system.
The setting is well thought out and it is not surprising, because in the computer game based on the eponymous tabletop role-playing universe. Cyberpunk, where the coexisting magic and technology, inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves and trolls, this is a truly unique world. Role-playing system, thanks all the same nastolki, also looks interesting, it has like the familiar classes and abilities, and more distinctive, like Decker, is able to connect to the virtual space of the Matrix, or shaman, able to summon spirits and communicate with the dead. There are various social features, etiquette.
The game's plot begins with detective notes, we need to find the murderer of comrade-in-arms, but the final story will gain more global importance.
The main advantage of Shadowrun Returns is a dialogue, it is what I was playing until the end. Developers are not lazy to write tons of text describing the emotions and facial expressions of game characters during the dialogue, the immediate Association in this regard - the unforgettable NOx. Yeah, Shadowrun Returns is a tactical RPG, not quite, as it is positioned developers, it is not so much the fighting, and those that are unlikely to cause you to bite your elbows to find the right tactics. Shadowrun Returns is primarily story-driven RPG with an emphasis on dialogue.
Unfortunately, this really ends all that is good in Shadowrun Returns. Alas, the game looks very empty and the budget as a prototype for something more complete. The game is very tiny location, which is almost nothing to interact with. About a small amount of secondary quests and items I am silent. In addition, the potential role of the system is not compromised, some skills are utilized just once or twice per game, but part of ethics and completely flies past the cash register. The plot in the second half of the game begins to smell of insanity and rolls, in my opinion, not the mainstream. In General, it feels like the game was made with an eye on tablets, but not on the PC, almost everything in the game talks about it, which further spoils the experience.
In the end, not the best for role-playing games in 2013, left the game, which takes high-quality dialogue, but passes almost all the rest. A good project for iOS and Android, but completely average - for PC.

Bought for pennies Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut, do not understand do I need buy original or not?

Just finished it, tried 7 different playthroughs of the ending! The only thing that didn't like the only 2 States of the world, although they ask at least 2 more. Don't understand. what prevented developers to other text in the final write under another solution. Also don't understand why at the very end of a pair of branched dialogues with options that absolutely do not affect the look as if the save can be transferred to the new part. It's clear that this is not so and Hong Kong nothing would have, except the setting...
It is strange that no forum or articles on Dragonfall.
Kind of like addition, but for God's sakes... it's not a Supplement. It's a fucking game.
Have not played the original part (I mean, just returns). Well, played? Started, disappointed, came, removed.
Before you download (I didn't buy the game, throw stones) Dragonfall - carefully read the description of the experience of players and among all the reviews I was looking for only one thing: the non-Linearity.
And, lo and behold! They made Shadowrun nonlinear.
Since I gave no chance to the original, you can't compare these pieces, however, Dragonfall, I was wildly late.
Although, sad a little sloppy fighting, but I think for a fan of tactical RPGs and this will do. Out of habit, after playing XCOM, I want to break the enemy position with a grenade and so on, but there is not. However, playing in hard difficulty, still has some salt considering that the game takes place not in a standard universe which we are accustomed to seeing in a lot of today's games, and kiberpank fantasy. Quite unusual for me setting.
In General, I appreciate the Supplement (the game) Dragonfall on hard 9. Maybe I overrated the game, but it is really worthy of the attention of Amateur RPGs.
I think I was hooked in this game, the lack of voice acting. Direct feel the spirit of classic RPGs of the late 90s - early 2000s.

But dragonfall is the mother of his masterpiece! very cool, I passed two times. Work on the game has done impressive. All the flaws of the first company was eliminated, it became much more interesting. I hope the series will continue to grow steadily.
