Developers want to eat too. They already made the game free and many items for platinum can be forged anyway, as long as there is patience. (I personally forged everything that was in the store (except for many warframes, but I don't need everything)). In addition, forms can also be obtained for free - with a bonus or a blueprint. And the prices are quite tolerable in comparison with other f2p.
