General's Speech (Rome: Total War)

Listen, I played for Carthage - there the general before the battle only says a couple of sentences ... After the Roman generals, who were filled with nightingales before the battle, the parting words of the Carthaginian commanders look pathetic. Is it just Carthage or does everyone have such a joint?
If at all - the creators really DO love the Romans.

"Short" and "several times" - very likely.

I think the leader could be heard.
Everything is very simple.
Most of the conflicts took place with the participation of armies not exceeding 10,000 people. (And often less)
Such an army occupies no more than 1 km along the front.
Agree - it's real to shout.

And in order to signal an attack or retreat
, flags, sound signals to pipes, horns or drums were used

Do you remember the Middle Ages?
Or what kind of "conflicts" are we talking about - clashes between warring tribes or in the Roman provinces, where the governors constantly had to deal with separate hotbeds of discontent.
Still, in the key conflicts of those years, usually the number of armies was more than 10 thousand ...

One can recall the ancient, republican times. Each consul - two legions, without allies - just ten thousand will pull.

In this case, I propose to understand the game framework of RTV by those times: 270 BC - 14 BC. I think no one will be offended.

You will remember the days of Romulus ...

I agree in the key battles of the decisive destinies of states,
but the armies there consisted of multi-tribal detachments. The same Xerxes gathered troops throughout the empire and I am sure his army spoke several languages. So everyone simply could not understand Xerxes speaking (I do not know what his language was called there). The leader of each of the detachments vassal to Xerxes used to dress up to his soldiers in his own language or dialect.
The same Hannibal ultimately fought almost only as mercenaries (meaning not citizens of Carthage). When required, his army consisted of 2/3 Gauls. It is clear that they were approached by their own leaders.
But these are great battles. And in local wars that accounted for at least 80% of the total number of combatants did not exceed 10,000.

Well, what have local wars to do with it? It is so clear that there were a great many local conflicts. History was made just by big confrontations, we are talking about them (not only we, but most of the written sources that have come down to us).
Okay: if the question starts spinning around such an imaginary axis, let's take a concrete example. Caesar, Gaul.

Xerxes spoke ancient Persian.

Do you all think that the military leaders spoke a speech before each battle?

Naturally not. Var barely had time to start a meeting in the Teutoburg forest. :)

And if there are only mercenaries in the army who do not care about patriotic feelings, then there was hardly any reason to make a speech.

A question without a joke
Have you really read it all ?
Who are you by education, how old are you, who do you work

Everyone has nothing to do here, just read the plutarchs, and stuff all the other activities into LJJ.
Is there anything you can understand at all? Is the translation normal?

The Reich is alive! And Jews in Spain are building it.

Yes, it's Jesus, dear! 33 ... it's time for him to die. The Last Supper will be there soon according to the campaign scenario?

Yes, and a big request, do not forget to tell the story of the resurrection - very interesting!

Has anyone had a crazy general? I've been playing in RTV for three years, and this is the first time I've seen it. The general's name is Tiberius the Mad :-) Ver. 1.5 without mods.
