Oh, in the end the game was so cool, and the endings ruined all my impressions. It would be better if everything was in reality, and GG was not a nutcase.

Then someone said that GG himself killed his partners? How so?

No, he did not kill them, but indirectly guilty, for by his orders he doomed them to death.

Master Snee, well, yes, right now, he outplayed, well, it means he was stupid because of his jamb,
and why the snipers did not shoot right away interesting, in a place with two corpses, if it was all a game of his imagination

Well, he not only imagined it, but also snipers who allegedly threatened his teammates.

can I get in at the wrong time, I just wanted to answer the question with the meaning of the
game does not just take ideas from the movie "Apocalypse Now" (in turn, which is an adaptation of the book Heart of Darkness, which I am sure no one read! It completely repeats the first letters of the names of the partners in the film and the book, water in the game, sand, napalm - white phosphorus, etc., etc. This game is a play on a popular work (more a movie than a book, the movie is included in many ratings and has worldwide recognition )
and his main idea is the horror of war that turns people into beasts, the
only question for the ending is 33, people and the tsra, galyun and he just shool through the empty city and shot at nowhere and how did the partners die?
ps If you haven't watched the film or read the book, this does not mean that they are not works of art "all this with an Uzbek accent!)" (But you don't give a fuck.)

If you think about it, then all four endings one way or another reveal the theme of the hero's madness. Let's look at everything in order.
1) Walker's suicide.
He realized that he did it all. Not the mythical "Konrad", but he, Marty Walker. And unable to bear this, he shot himself.
2) Walker survived and surrendered to the military.
The hero completely destroyed the reason for which he blamed everything, killed Colonel Konrad in his subconscious. Then he just waited to be picked up. In addition, the captain somewhat repeated the fate of Konrad.
3) Walker attacked the military who came to rescue him. (It doesn't matter whether he survived or not.) The
hero, although he shot Konrad in his subconscious, could not come to terms with everything that happened and went crazy. He became a reflection of Dubai, he became callous and cruel.
Perhaps he wanted someone else to release him from responsibility and give a chance to fate. Well, what happened, it happened.

And the picture in the Colonel's room vividly characterizes the moment when Walker went crazy. This was the point of no return.

woo class. by rereading your Essays. I almost completely understood the plot) wow ..)

I read everyone here. And who had such an ending: Marty asks for a walkie-talkie and demands the immediate evacuation of Dubai, then says "Survivors ... A lot." That's exactly what he said, although it's more correct to say "Survivors", there are no screenshots, I apologize. Then Marty dropped his weapon and surrendered.

everyone has such an ending who did not shoot himself (who did shoot himself, there is again a recording that was recorded by Konrad himself), but the epilogue is already different, there you either kill the soldiers or surrender and go with them

So I went through all 4 endings ... Now I am completely satisfied with myself, a nerd with a capital letter, so to speak :)))
I will once again write these 4 noticeable endings:
1. The Main Hero (GG) kills himself (or his mozheo kill KONRAD when he counts to 5). And at the end, the phrase of KONRAD is said "That he failed to save people, the mission failed, there were many victims ..."
2. GG shoots at KONRAD, the military arrives - he surrenders. At the end he says "That he did not succeed like" ...
3. GG shoots at KONRAD, the military arrives - he begins to bring them down. They kill him. just purely the end of the game) credits
4. GG shoots at KONRAD, the military comes - he knocks down every one, wins in short. And the last phrase "Welcome to Dubai".

I was surprised by the finale with the feeling that everything that happened to gg was a brain shift well, of course, at the end of the game and the epilogue is also strange

The fact that the plot was taken from "Apocalypse Now" is very good. The developers really managed to show the horrors of war. At first it seemed that an ordinary shooter in an unusual setting, but it turned out to be much higher.

Honestly, when I read on the forums that the game for the sake of the ending is worth going through, then everything became obvious already in the middle of the game, that in the end it turns out that this is all happening in the head of the GG and the like. Well, that's about how it turned out) The picture is coolly drawn, it's a pity for Lugo (The moment with the bodies hanging where you have to make a choice - delivered. In principle, the game is average, as they wrote here, the horrors of war are really transferred. Especially these corpses, the attack with phosphorus, shot and hanged. I did not understand that there is so much sand, everything is piled up with kilometers of sand ... how so ..

g
gtep 27.12.20

By the way, there was one more thing: after Lugo was hanged, the locals do not let him go - they supposedly need to be shot, as his partner asks. But you can still shoot in the air - then people will simply scatter. Although this also does not affect the endings ... And then, in the end, Konrad (or the vision) says how many innocent people died at the hands of the GG. He gives the exact figure (I have 43). The same number of all, or all people are counted, how many did you shoot? (I kind of accidentally killed the extra ones somewhere, and in the episode described above there is a difference ...) And one more thing: why the partners were silent all the time, looking at how the GG talks to himself, saves (or vice versa, kills again) long decayed corpses, using a walkie-talkie without batteries? How did they look at all this, but did not give them soup (so that the commander would come to his senses)? Also strange ...
In general, one of the few games, in my opinion, in recent years, where a really good and interesting plot, especially when you consider that the game is essentially (except for a few local moments and endings) LINEST, and in this genre, besides the classic "kill over 9000 enemies (most often bad Russian / Soviet soldiers) alone with a six-barrel gun, smash another Los Angeles and stop a nuclear war ", nothing happened for a long time ... If anyone knows something similar, please advise))

Captain Walker did not give them a break, and constantly clogged their brains with the fact that it was the one to blame. then another. That "us" was framed and betrayed by this or that. And they are, as it were, still lower in rank than him. I had to obey. I understand ...

Yes, I agree, the plot is awesome. I didn’t drive in right away.

J
Just Kane 27.12.20

gtep The
partners did not see the lack of batteries in the radio. Well, when any nonsense happened to Walker, they said, they say, what the hell are you doing?

their 5
suicide, the murder of Tipo Konrad, peaceful withdrawal or shooting (+ it all depends on whether you survive in it or not)

D
DEXTER_133 27.12.20

and no one is surprised that in the 8th chapter, where the hero knocks down the inhabitants with white phosphorus, there is a fork in two directions on the map?

The feeling that Walker had it all happened in the head. And we played it.
