Performance on PC (Fallout 4)
Good day! I played and went through Fallout before the updates were released, but on my laptop the fps suffered, installed a bunch of mods on textures, changed configs, but all I could achieve was to play a little higher than low at fps 30-40 in buildings, the main problem I had was due to shadows and dust (FPS dropped sharply). I7 2670QM, 8 GB ram, 6770M. After the release of all the additions, I decided to play again and I want to ask advice what mods / programs to install to raise the FPS?here's what stood before:

Why play a game with a dead gravel that would be disgusting to look at ??? I personally would like to play the last tomb raider and betman, but a computer that is already 3 years old (i5 3570K, 16Gb, Geforce GTX 780) will not pull them at least at high and with stable 60 frames. And I postponed these games without any problems before switching the video card to GTX 1070. Why play a game and look at a nasty picture when the graphics look decent.

No card will pull Fallout 4 consistently 60 FPS, in any case there will be steep drawdowns in some places.

I set everything to the maximum, only reduced the quality of the rays to medium (the difference from the ultra can be seen only on skin shots if you sit down, but you cannot turn them off without them, the picture loses all its beauty) and the distance of the shadows is high. In the wasteland, the game keeps stable 60, but in cities there are incomprehensible drawdowns in certain places. I figured it was just a clumsy engine. In the first settlement, I built a house with disabling the construction limit, and so there are strong drawdowns due to the fact that the game engine simply cannot digest more than it is shoved, since there is nothing to slow down there.

5-7 years is overkill, for such a time the computer becomes very outdated. It is possible, if economically, to buy hardware on the secondary, so my old 780 video card with an output of 1070 will cost around 10 thousand or about 150 bucks and took it for 550 bucks once.

The whole secret is that the .ba2 texture format is read by the engine much faster and requires less video memory. "Texture Optimization Project" and other retextures will help us, so we pack them in .ba2 and 2 GB of video memory is already enough.
