Combat tactics (Mount Blade)

I would like to ask if there is any mod that adds the ability to manage the army more tactfully, namely:

1) Divide the infantry (cavalry, riflemen) into several units and command each one separately. This is necessary, for example, to separate the spearmen from the infantry; or heavy infantry from light infantry; or archers from crossbowmen; or horse archers from the knights. Moreover, you can divide by the name of the warriors (for example: the Rodok spearmen - one detachment, the mercenary swordsmen - another detachment)

2) Build a detachment not in a line one or two warriors thick, but in formation - at least there are 6-8 in length, 3 -4 wide.

And I would also like the AI to use different tactics too. After all, now he just sends everyone into battle in a bunch - as far as I understand.

If anyone knows how to do this or knows any mod similar to what I described, then please unsubscribe!

Pendor is the same. There the concept of "tactics" does not exist. There is only HARDCOOOR and DISBALANCE. That's all)

Well Duc, naturally, if you wish, you can find tactics in any fashion, not only in Pendor, but even in Rise of Khergits (there is SUPERDISBALANCE).

Tactics - we line up, the infantry scattered, the archers in front of them. The enemy is approaching, the archers are retreating, the infantry is closing the formation. The enemy is attacking ... x * yach, f * osh, chop, kick.

Tactics? No, I haven't heard: D

It depends on who to fight, of course. Infantry forward, in an open row, archers behind in close rows (If they stand on a hill, then the infantry is lower, the rows are closed, the rays are higher), I take the cavalry a little further behind me, then behind my back and just attack to the rear. If there is no cavalry, I just jump towards the enemy army myself, and I simply shoot all the arrows, with an average of 20 killed from one quiver. Well, I keep a spare. Or remove from the dead, if it is a castle siege. Now I switched from a one-handed weapon and a shield to a two-handed one, then I still keep a set of throwing knives with me. It can be a good help when reptiles are pressing, especially when sieging or defending a castle. Crossbows, although they have more damage, but they kumar me, I don't even take crossbowmen into my squad, only archers. I used to take the Nords, now vegirs - they are good in close combat and shoot well.

Sometimes I put the infantry in the path of the enemy army, and the archers a little to the side and behind. I stand with them, as soon as the cavalry approaches the most effective distance, I order them to open fire. The first rows lay down instantly, if the archers are not noobs and there are enough of them on the battlefield. And then they still drag on before the infantry, then this is another two or three volleys, or even a bunch of arrows and dead bodies. Then a harsh massacre with the infantry ensues, at this time I take the archers a little further and they meet the second wave of attackers. At the same time, the cavalry either attacks the fastest in the back, or goes to deal with the enemy infantry lagging behind.

I put the shooters and archers on a hill, I order them to scatter, The infantry below keeps the formation, Himself on horseback, the cavalry behind me. Two-handed and (cleaver) or ax, thinning the enemy line, I give the infantry the order to attack (let them finish off) the archers after them. In general, I use tactics if these are units of factions or there are a lot of enemies (80 - and so on). When the bandits just organize a massacre in a crowd)

Tactics here, of course, are meager, but if you give your imagination free rein, you can beat troops that are superior in strength and number with 100% of the damage they inflict.

In this game on the battlefield, the cavalry often dominates as it rushes through almost all types of foot troops without much difficulty. Archers go well against those troops that have small shields or do not have them at all and move on foot. Infantrymen are the backbone of any army (well, as anyone), they are equally opposed to all troops. For example, the infantry with large shields will be able to dominate the archers, and the infantry is the infantry of strife, the Nordic infantry will be the most powerful in the game, and even the cavalry will be hard with them).

For example, I develop tactics with an emphasis on the terrain, the composition of the troops and the behavior of the enemy.

For example, if you have almost only archers and the enemy is the Hergite lord, then he has the advantage of a direct attack by cavalry and horse archers are a rather annoying enemy. So that the enemy does not dare with the first cavalry attack, our troops need to see if there is a hill of rocky terrain, a forest belt or a river, this will reduce their combat effectiveness. A hill, river or, in extreme cases, rocky terrain will be able to slow down the enemy troops and they will not be able to maneuver properly, becoming weaker and losing some advantage in a cavalry attack.

For example, I'm used to playing aggressively and take heavy cavalry to my squad, if possible, I recruit Cavalry with small arms (with equipment of at least average and higher they were on fast horses and had bows with them) with such an army, at the beginning, I bombarded the slowly approaching enemy troops with arrows and then sent them into the attack, forbidding the shelling, so I cut out the troops that were superior to mine in three on a difficult level. There is nothing to say about an easy level with half damage.

My favorite composition of troops is heavy cavalry, preferably mercenaries, their morale is less dependent on various factors.
Having collected a large enough squad, the battle quickly ends mainly in your favor. For example, I do not like to mess with the enemy cavalry (although I fight with the Hergits almost constantly) I take a detachment of heavy cavalry and divide the detachment of satellites on horses armed with decent gear into 2 detachments, leave 10 satellites in their previous positions and lead the cavalry behind me so that the flank of the enemy cavalry, going to his rear and giving the order to attack what happens, the cavalry that you are leading is stretched and bending around the enemy it takes in a half circle, thereby demolishing 15-20% of the enemy cavalry at the moment you practically do not allow it to escape from you, and the infantry standing nearby, too, when attacking, begins to attack and thickens, which also creates an obstacle to its own cavalry.

By dividing the troops, you can arrange different maneuvers against the enemy, and his behavior is a full-fledged attack, a leisurely offensive or defense in which he sometimes leaves can give you some advantage or, on the contrary, put you in a bad position, therefore I recommend it as the basis of a strike force for a first strike or distraction Some types of troops make a detachment of 10-15 satellites, they can be well pumped and armed, and most importantly, they are immortal, for example, by striking at archers, they can violate the enemy's advantage at a long distance or force part of the troops to turn around or chase them.

Although sometimes you mold from this monotonous attack in one formation, you sit and think the rams are asking for meat ... But the player himself can create many different combinations, one well compensates for their monotonous formation)) Although if you swing your army here)), you yourself will able to smash enemies in hundreds, and at an easy level of difficulty in thousands per battle.

To siege the castle, it is best to hire Rodokov cross-border pilots and force them to hold a position, then order them to use only blunt weapons, thereby they will raise their shields when enemy shooters shoot at you, they quickly end up with ammunition and then you can order your own to use crossbows and thus you can destroy 75% of only when shooting
