In doing so, players shoot ink to paint over the ground and destroy opponents. In human form, players can shoot ink and attack opponents, and when turned into squid, they can swim in ink. With the Wii U GamePad, players can enjoy intuitive motion control and battle tracking on a map displayed on the touchscreen. Each group has its own paint color. The team needs not so much to destroy the enemy groupings as to cover the maximum area of ​​the battle arena with paint of its own color. Moving on a surface painted in "native" color allows the character to spread into squid form and restore ammunition, and also makes it possible to move at an increased speed, but getting into enemy "painting experiments" greatly slows down.
