I want to change my vidyuhu.

I now have a radeonka 6870 1GB, I want to replace it with R9 380. But on the motherboard there is a PCI Express 2.0 connector, and on the 3.0 card. As I know, there is no difference, the performance will not decrease from this either. Interested in how much FPS will rise in games? Does it make sense to change?

Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz
8.00 RAM

percent not overclocked.

support. The r9 has 380 cons. power 190 W (peak). I have a GTX 690 (300W) and a 650W PSU with 80% efficiency and everything works great.
Although 500 watts should be enough (the card contains 500 watts of power supply)

500 power supply will not be enough. It will certainly work, but there will be periodic freezes of the computer under loads of vidyuhi, with the risk of burning something from overvoltage.
It's like "on the fence". It depends on what PSU. Why do fortune-telling - the TS did not indicate what kind of power supply it had. The nameplate capacity is not indicative. I indicated the consumption above.

Well, I read that there is practically no difference between PCI Express 2.0 and 3.0, they say that there is. So how is it really?
Also, I have a Gigabyte-p55-usb3 motherboard. There is a slot for 16x video, my video card (I want to buy) also requires 16x, but it is on PCI Express 3.0, and I have 2.0. twice as much, i.e. 32x Is that so?

I have a power supply unit CHIEFTEC GPS-550AB A, I know that it won't fit r380, but that's not a problem, the main thing is to figure it out with these PCI Express ...

So this is not a 550-quilted jacket at all, but no more than ~ 400 W PSU.

I didn’t claim that it was 550, I said that maybe, there was simply no way to look. To hell with the PSU, what's with PCI Express?

Don't bother with pci-e. On 1366 socket (also pci-e 2.0) put gtx 970. Everything works fine.

Thanks, I seem to have calmed down)

Again I ((. In general, the PSU bought a HYPER Series / HP700S, it turned out a little more expensive than expected, well, God bless him. I already wanted to order a card, but then I thought. Maybe it’s worth taking all the same Gforce 970 instead of R9 380? The difference is about one hundred euros and according to tests it seems like it's worth it ... And I also wanted to know if many assemblies and companies of video cards are sold (MSI, GIGABYTE, ASUS, EVGA, ZOTAC, etc.), which is better, more reliable to take? The store's website would be thrown off where I was going to take it, everything is written there ... I would advise.

Something I did not understand, to score on everything and take NVIDIA GTX 1080 or what? How much will it cost?

You shouldn't take 970, or 380 or 390 8 gig, 4 gig memory for ultra 970 is not enough so forget it.
And about 1080 ... you need a minimum percentage of I7 3770 you may not even dream of "TOP"

Yes, I didn’t think about the top, I don’t need it. For more than a week I can't decide which is better to take)). Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll go take it while I settled on this ASUS STRIX-R9380X-OC4G-GAMING 4096MB GDDR5 DVI DVI-D HDMI DisplayPort, will it go?

The card is not from the cheap segment, so it is unlikely that the manufacturer will knock down the price to the detriment of reliability, and everyone has a defect. If, all the same, due to an overly rich assortment, eyes run up, then first pay attention to:
1.the cooling system (as a rule, the more fans, the less noise; look at what the radiator is made of and what, besides the video chip, it is adjacent to)
2.factory overclocking (ideally, it should be relatively small, since strong overclocking shortens the life of the video card and you should definitely avoid cards with lower frequencies, relative to the nominal value)
3.size (everything is obvious here: will the card fit into the case and which slots on the motherboard it will close)

Okay, I'll check it out. Another question, I have an old motherboard GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3, but if you take an ASUS or MSI card, well, in general, from a different company than the motherboard, will there be no conflicts? I read somewhere that there is a conflict or you need to change the BIOS or something like that.

Such miracles happen on Nvidia, I have never seen anything like this on an AMD platform.

I bought a replacement 7870 2GB video memory. Here are the results of my tests, if anyone is interested. It was / It is.
Dirt Rally 99/115. Fallout4 60 85. GTA5 65 90. FarCry4 60 80. And (attention !!!) Battlefield4 75 150. At Battle, double growth !!! I'm happy)))

In general, I decided to take this GIGABYTE GV-N970WF3-4GD / GeForce GTX 970 / PCI-E 3.0 / 4GB GDDR5 / 256-bit / Core 1051 MHz / Memo 7000MHz / HDMI / Dual link DVI-I / DVI-D / DPx3 / ATX. Tomorrow I will go to order, I will write a review.
