The game can't use all 2 GB of VRAM (Red Dead Redemption 2)
Guys, help please, can't understand why my game does not sees all 2 GB of VRAM. I have a GTX 1050 2 GB, but the game shows only ~1600 because I can't change graphics settings, because supposedly there is not enough memory, although the memory is not fully loaded. 7300HQ i5 / GTX 1050 2 GB / 16 GB of RAM, if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help.P. S. found a way to circumvent the protection system of video memory should be in Nvidia Experience to optimize the game manually, but still apply all the settings that are needed, so the question is still relevant.

Can you please throw off the optimal graphics settings (GTX 770 2GB, i5-2500K, 16GB, 1920x1080 75 HZ), so that it is plus or minus at least 30 FPS or more? (And if it is so possible DX12 (I just can't change from Vulkan to DX for some reason) and the textures are not soapy, but it's just a strong soap at minimum-medium.)
well, probably you can't, because your card does not support it and say thank you to the volcano, or it would not start at all. With your computer, at best the minimum will be 20-30 fps with drawdowns
Givara
DX12 Not Supported? I have it right now, but in the game it does not change from Vulkan to it.
And according to the graph, in the best case, there should be a normal optimization - this is 1. And so it flies at averages of 20-30 fps - this is 2.
Lol, why are you pouring water to me, 12 direct is supported, starting with the 9th series of giraffes, you can't have it a priori, another pass in the comments. On your map and process, at low one would get 30 fps looking at the ground, it would already be the event of the century, it flies on average at 12 direct at 770 gtx ahah
Givara
ON medium (I do not argue, there are also low among medium), but not on DX12 (Because I can not put it), but on Vulkan.
lol you are showing me .. this is 12 direct 10 Windows, your card does not support it, so calm down
IDENITY
and what did you give me? There is support at the software and hardware level, your video card was not created for it, it was added later with drivers from the 4th series, but you won’t work on it, only from the 9th series the cards fully support it, at the hardware level
Givara
Well, there are drawdowns, but up to 28, not lower and very rarely, slightly overclocking the video card. Mostly fps 35

In the config settings you can set any settings. I personally set the textures to high, the rest to low-medium and got a stable 30-35 frames. But I noticed that online RDR crashes at these settings, so you need to change the settings to the lowest to create a character, and then you can set it back high. Online, about also ~ 30-35 frames, but there are hard friezes for 5 seconds, especially in big cities, but I'm already used to it. We are waiting for patches.
I may not have understood something correctly, but I turned on the benchmark, then along the path C: Users user Documents Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption 2 Benchmarks opened the benchmark file, and it says that I have:
VRAM: 2055296 MB
System RAM: 8315756 MB
Artiup
This is not in MB, but in KB. 2 gigs of video, 8 gigs of RAM.
VRAM should be 2,097,152 and RAM 8,388,608. This is 2 and 8 gigabytes in binary. We subtract the costs of the system from here and get your numbers. Again, these are 2 and 8 gigabytes in kilobytes. Everything shows you correctly.
insel260
yes it would have been written kb - there would be no questions, but there mb are indicated
Artiup
Well, convert gigabytes to kilobytes yourself and you will see your numbers.
The game does not detect the video card at all, and of course, it does not correctly see the amount of memory
Argon666
because it reserves a certain amount of memory for its needs, god you are so tight mmmmm
Argon666,
you noticed that if you set all the settings to a minimum, the game still looks very nice, this beauty is the minimum reserve for which memory is spent
