The processor itself is quite relevant, only for the 980 it will need to be overclocked. Without overclocking, you will run into bottleneck.

Index "K" is a significant plus of the processor. Therefore, when you say that overclockers need it, you are wrong. Today, and indeed, I may not be an overclocker, but after 3 years of using the processor, when its power is no longer enough for games / applications, I will have a trump card in my sleeve in the face of the "K" index, which for a decent period of time will increase the relevance of my cpu.
