FPS on various configurations. (Rise 2: Dark Waters)
In this topic, I propose to unsubscribe about how the game goes on various computer configurations and general optimization of the game. For example:
I5 2500K 4.7GHZ, HD 6970 2GB, 8Gb RAM Ultra settings 1680x1050 the game produces 100500 fps.
GoodDanis Damn, I didn't even notice... The Witcher 2 was also going well, but then...

And why is the percentage so frail, it also slows down the video card.
This percentage in games is no worse than the i7 3930k, and it can easily pull out 2x7970.

No need to upload, brother.
Efficiency is measured stupidly: processor bandwidth divided by video card bandwidth ... Ideally, it should be 1, in practice this does not happen, almost.
And now a joke: your percent. has a bandwidth of 3300 (core frequency) * 4 (number of cores) * 8 (bits) u003d 105,600 Mbps, and the video card is 264,000 Mbps, equal to 0.4 not 1. And now the most interesting thing, your built-in controller memory 21,000 Mbps. Total: Coefficient 0.08, far from 1... -)
And here are the calculations for i7 3930:
3200*(6*2)*8= 307200 Mbps ! This is if you count the HEADS on the process. In your case, I counted them, above. If you don't count 153,000 Mbps... it's equal to 1.16 (here you can already think about 2x7970 in cross), and 0.6 without HEADS. AND NOW BUILT-IN MEMORY AT PROTS, WHICH IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT. 51 200 Mbps and the result is 0.2...
So think, stupid calculation, the advantage is 300% and 250% if yours is 100%...
You are a small adult, probably smart. Think for yourself.

Well, as it were, firstly, overclocking 4.8Ghz, secondly, theory and practice are different things

on ai 7, there is also a turbo mode, only in our case it's more about RAM. Your percent. good, better than my hair dryer 955, but don’t flatter yourself, it won’t pull two 6870.

And this is generally a mystery! Guys funny: my brother has my second computer in the next room, athlon 6000+ dual-core (2006), vidyaha amd 5770, plays everything to the max not a single brake anywhere.
On the 5000 series radios, there are no problems along the way.
exlipse88 I
also wanted to add. You're right in practice, it's getting worse, but what I thought was theory!
GoodDanis
I just had 2x7970 for a week, and there were no problems, I didn’t limit the percentage, and I had turbo mode turned off, at a constant 4.8Ghz

Brother, I don't argue what's on your process. two cards are better than one. I'm scratching about system optimization. And these are the numbers ... You have an autobahn, but you drive a Ferrari with a Zhiguli engine, and 76 benzene ...
Understand the point, I just ate a dog on this, and I wrote these tests myself before.
phenom II x4 [email protected], 8Gb (1.472Gh 8-8-8-24 ), radeon hd 6950 2Gb, windows and dins on ssd ocz agility_3 120Gb, 1680x1050 Measurements were made by Fraps.
In the jungle on Tocarigua, sometimes it sagged a lot up to 37fps, by default everything was set to the maximum (high ultra where it was possible), V-sin is on! Removed only shadows from ultra to high minimum fps increased to 46, and mostly 53-60fps. I did not reveal a tangible difference from overclocking.
It also heats up on new firewood ... Maybe a couple of three degrees less, but not reliably ...
Phenom II X4 955 @ 4.1 GHz
8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
AMD Radeon HD 6950 2 GB x2 /CrossfireX/
Catalyst 12.4
BenQ EW2730 /1920x1080/
At the very beginning of the game, the fps was from 40 to 70 fps. On the first island 50-80 fps.
The graphics are not technologically advanced, with such a picture it should be under 150 fps, if not more :) Optimization is clumsy, not the right word.
Maps loaded under 99%. They do not heat up, which is strange.
PS: the settings are all at the maximum.
proc i5 2500, 8gb ddr3, 560Ti. Everything on max except shadows, shadows on medium. resolution full hd 1920x1080. 60 fps.

What are you talking about, I'm talking about the fact that there is no difference in games, that with 3930k, that with 2500k fps the same read the article, I gave the link above.
on Phenom 945, the card is overclocked 460,
in Full HD resolution, on these settings:
on average it gives out 45-50 FPS, sometimes there are drawdowns up to 35 FPS, the lowest value during the game with Fraps turned on, which I noted - 32 FPS, when you look at the wall or into the distance in the absence of many objects in the frame - 65-70 FPS gives out,
all this suggests that the game is poorly optimized and unreasonably demanding on the video card.
