Optimization (DiRT Showdown)
Core2Duo E8600 @ 3.33GHz, 3.00 RAM, GeForce GTS 250 DK / 1Gb-------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------
Crowd = Low
Optimization: 3/5
DiRT3 has been optimized much better. Apparently, the developers did not try as hard as with the same DiRT3, which showed stable 60 frames per second almost everywhere.
I play on laptop i5/4GB/atiHD5730(1GB) HDMI on TV, everything flies at 28-40FPS at high settings.
Unexpectedly, but the optimization is very good in my case, although sometimes it seems that the game was made on the knee from the remnants of dirt3, although this is also correct, it would be so great if they made Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine on the same engine as before and every half a year a new part with a new plot, like a series)))
NEWMAN666
What? The textures are no better. The same DiRT2 where explosions were used, the flashes almost did not freeze. Even in the menu there are brakes. I'll just develop FSUs for this project and that's it. Released - havay.
it’s just that in the 2nd dirt there is a stupidly straight lane and it’s easier to load it immediately immediately with a huge box with a large stake. objects so such a hat, how much light, etc. all beauty rests on it, and yes, optimiz is not super, but when they did it to us, then in general (((they need DALLARS on video cards
prodigy007
In my so-called box, it doesn’t slow down practically, but where we drive in a figure eight.
Phoenix
in compare a box in which there are few objects and in 8 horror how many of them compared to the derby, like so if memory changes
prodigy007
Well, the game shouldn't slow down like that. Well, there is no such chart.
NEWMAN666
Even so, but optimization in any case is not so hot. And I'm not the only one who noticed it.
and I'm far from the only one who noticed that it is excellent) I was very pleasantly surprised when I was able to play quite comfortably on high settings on my 5-year-old computer!
high - ultra graphics settings. the rest of the parameters are also turned to the maximum. all without brakes and drawdowns. PS: the last firewood is on the video card. in resolution 1280x1024 - FPS > 45 - 60 (FRAPS)
Phoenix Well, the game shouldn't slow down like that. Well, there is no such graphics there >>> so you need to think about what is wrong with firewood (and) or iron ..... and the graphon in the game is quite normal!
Maybe because of the crack it slows down (remembered MW3 with 40 fps))) >>>>> complete nonsense!
UseriX_81
Well, firstly: I always have the latest drivers, and secondly: indeed, in MW3 there was a clumsy crack that did not allow to rise more than 40 FPS.
>high - ultra graphics settings. the rest of the parameters are also turned to the maximum. all without brakes and drawdowns. PS: the last firewood is on the video card. in resolution 1280x1024 - FPS > 45 - 60 (FRAPS)
And you're going to say that the optimization is normal? It's a shame that your FPS drops to 45 on your system. Have you seen DiRT2, DiRT3 running on your own card? There under 80 FPS, also in 1080p. And you...
PS It's clear that they didn't spend a lot of time on the game, but simply decided to cut down money while DiRT4 was being developed.
secondly: indeed, in MW3 there was a clumsy crack that did not allow you to go up more than 40 FPS.>>>> with a license there is no such rubbish! fps - 60 stable! And you will say that the optimization is normal? It's a shame that your FPS drops to 45 on your system. Have you seen DiRT2, DiRT3 running on your own card? There under 80 FPS, also in 1080p. And you have... >>>> I have to report to you? 60 fps - for a NORMAL GAME, IT'S ENOUGH! PS: and I'm not saying that optimization is the highest class. but compared to RAGE .... quite like.
I don't understand what are you whining about? Optimization is quite normal. It used to be worse. They sit on 2-core processors and such cards as: 9800GTX / GTS250 / GTS450 and still complain about optimization ...
My config:
• AMD Athlon II X3 440 3000 MHz (Rana) => AMD Phenom II X4 B40 @
3525MHz (1.45V) (Propus/BL-C3) [NB @ 2350MHz -1.2V] [HT Link @ 2350MHz]
• ASUS Radeon EAH6850 DirectCU/2DIS/1GD5/V2 (790/1000 @ 960 /1175 MHz)
(vGPU-1.230V) (The video card in this overclocking performance is equal to HD 6870. I compared them.)
• Kingston "Value Ram" 6GB-DDR3 1333 @ 1567 MHz (9-8-8-22 CR-2T) (1.65V)
1280x1024 75Hz / 4x MSAA / Maximum settings (except shadows, they are on high).
FPS 35-80.
I have enough!
Phoenix It's a shame that your FPS drops to 45 on your system. >>>>> I won't say anything about your config at all... which lags godlessly!
UseriX_81
As if the latest games are running normally. The same Alan Wake, Binary Domain, Ridge Racer Unbounded, Mass Effect 3, Syndicate, etc. go without lags at Max setting (720p), and this one ... DiRT3 went with a bang, at 60 fps, and only sometimes dropping to 45 fps (in heavy rain, with a large number of cars). Why did I write "shameful", because on your machine the game should fly just at 60 fps +, but nooo. The game is poorly optimized. The graphics practically did not budge, but it works 2 times slower.
>I don't understand what you're whining? Optimization is quite normal. It used to be worse. They sit on 2-core processors and such cards as: 9800GTX / GTS250 / GTS450 and still complain about optimization...
Did the graphics go far enough for me to buy high-end hardware? Console graphics in many games, they practically do not improve anything, and the requirements are growing. In general, one can argue endlessly. I stand by my opinion, period. Buy expensive hardware, and if any game doesn't go well, I'll play the Xbox360 version.
