Are you still waiting for Lost Alpha? (STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl)

The official release date of Lost Alpha has become known - the third quarter of 2012.

All previous dates were dubious and were given a little "from the bulldozer" - the developers could not estimate how long they would have to spend to complete work on the addon. The new date was calculated carefully and most likely Lost Alpha will be released on time.
It should be added that for the first time the release date of Lost Alpha appeared on moddb. Dezodor previously wrote that no LA release date can be official if it is not specified on moddb.

The Dezowave team needs to finish the plot, add the remaining secondary quests and catch bugs along the way. Then work on localization will begin.

There is information that Lost Alpha will be sold together with GSC at a minimal price. Nothing else is known about this. I just informed that no one would be shocked by this news in the future. I have a theory on this, but Dezodor asked not to be worth a conspiracy theory so clarification will wait.
Spoiler
The Dez0Wave development team is working on bringing back the very stalker we've been waiting for. The locations that were cut from the original will be completely restored, many amazing gameplay features that, for some unknown reason, never reached the player, will be returned. But that's not all. The developers will bring a lot of their own, which will make the game the way many want to see it.
Development began back in 2008. During all this time, the developers have done a great job. Every day the addon is growing, acquiring new features, and very soon everyone will be able to enjoy an unforgettable trip to that very zone!

Nonsense is all ... Go to the moddb page - how many new and different screens they have. I don't think that creating locations with a specialist in order to "warm up interest" is a reasonable idea, so much has already been done here that the mod actually exists anyway.

Thanks for the link, but you shouldn't believe unfounded statements. If things were as it is said in this "article", there would be no point in fooling the people. After all, "Stalker 2" was safely buried. Yes, and according to the information posted by the developers of the mod, it is clear that a lot has been done. So, there is no real reason to believe that Lost Alpha is fake.

I would be glad if my fears are in vain.

The monolithian Charon
is still all the same, many are waiting for a gift for the new year, but does it wake up? =) The main thing is that the project is made to test him and bring him to mind.
The last news, this is about engine optimization®
In the comments slipped one very important and pleasant little thing ... When asked about smoother game operation with multi-core support, Dezodor replied: "if we can debug the new gulag system, then it wont have lagging in the beginning, otherwise it runs smoothie. "

" If we manage to fix the new gulag system, then the game will not lag (slow down, freeze) at the beginning. And if it does not work out, the game will run smoother (by using all the CPU capabilities). "

Somehow the idea came to my mind that everyone has files with any location on their computer, and therefore it would be possible to make a network game on a whole location. I shared this thought on the forums. And most likely I was not the only one who came up with this idea, so I will not assure you that I turned out to be an author of the idea, from which network games appeared in entire locations - "Cordon", etc.

Actually such a thought. Make a program so that you can switch from one server of a network game to another server with what you got on the previous server. I.e. You played at the Military Warehouses, you approach the transition point and go to another server - the Bar, from which you go to the Garbage Dump. Do you understand? We ourselves will create an online game in which you can wander around the entire zone as in a single. It is clear that for the implementation of this project, it is necessary to install such programs on all servers participating in this project in order to receive data from another server, or from the player's computer (with protection from cheaters) so that the player who has newly entered the server has that set of weapons and money, what I got on another server. It is clear that the creation of such a project will have different difficulties, problems, etc.
But why not try? To join efforts for those who understand such matters.
I would not like the time to come when I had to say about STALKER - not that zone today, is it really time to tie it up?

you went into the wrong topic it was necessary to create a new one separately!
after all there is a usual hunt for an artifact there a whole loca is given at the disposal of players® for example a whole cordon®

To join efforts to those who understand in such matters.
Get the source code for SHOC, provide logistical support for the servers, and maybe something will work out. It will take a lot of time just to understand their code, even more - to reshape their A-life for a comfortable online game.

There is an opinion that GSC will re-publish "Shadow of Chernobyl", they will release TSS themselves, so we will not see any Lost-Alpha, most likely. Everything that was developed in LA, in principle, can be implemented in a re-release.

n't it easier to say, "I think so"? And then, - "There is an opinion", if someone wrote it on the forum, Duc it's just nonsense, if someone is a developer, then a proof, but your guesses should be titled "I think so think "!

The developers of the "Lost Alpha" add-on have finally published a new gameplay video from their project. This time, the authors focused the players' attention on third-person battles, inventory, and also partially showed one of the quests and several cut scenes.

Monolithian Charon is
long or not, but the Dezowawe team knows better, the main thing is that a good product comes out at the end!
And it's not for nothing that LOST ALPHA was recognized as the fashion of the year 2012!
