Issues with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (1024 MB)

I changed the video card to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (1024 MB). was a Radeon HD 4670 512 mb. Installed, everything is fine, all games work at a resolution of 1920 * 1080 at high.
Two days passed and EVERYTHING began to slow down terribly on the most minimal requirements.
The temperature is normal, I have already changed the firewood a hundred times, I tried different versions. Direct is the same.
I am confused.

Naturally Windos 7 64bit ... Please advise anything))) thanks in advance!

It was the same as the creator of the theme. And a simple driver reinstall and reboot helped me. And do not sin on the power supply, it generally works for me at 400W

Try downloading the EVGA PrecisionX software. And watch the GPU frequencies under load.

I have an nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1024 MB video card and I have no games except NFS Underground 2 and GTA 4, but my GTA 4 freezes and the graphics are stepping, why help please!

G Shocker,
with GTA 4 most likely your Core 2 duo cannot cope, so it freezes. Steps are the absence of active anti-aliasing - try turning it on in the application itself, or in the driver settings. But be prepared for an even bigger drop in FPS

CryTime,
Thank you, but does the power supply have anything to do with this?

C

G Shocker if there are no artechacts and crashes with a concomitant reboot of the PC, then it does not.

Does the 450 W PSU support the Palit nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti?

G Shocker if full 450 is enough. Check how many watts are output along the 12 volt line, there is a plate on the power supply case.

I reboot the computer, the video plows as expected. Somewhere after or five, suddenly they don't slow down the game. Does not depend on the settings. The frame-by-frame steps just begin. Power saving only on PCI-E costs moderate power saving. But such glitches begin in the process of active use.
What could it be?

Similar behavior as Sergei.
The configuration is as follows:
Proc: Intel Core i5 2550K
MB: Asus P877Z-V Sli WiFi
VCard: GForce GTX 550 Ti
Monit: Samsung EX2220
Mem: 16Gb 1333 Corsair Veg LP (nines)
HD:
1: SG SATA 320Gb
2: SG SATA 320Gb
3 : SG SATA 180Gb
4: WD SATA 120Gb
5: SG SATA 1Tb
6: Toshiba 2.5 USB IDE 640Gb
7: Hitachi 2.5 USB IDE 120Gb

OS: Win7U x64 SP1
All the latest firewood.

Temperature will not be affected. This happened both about 29 Celsius and 36 Celsius.
Nothing was chased.

By the way, if you just restart the computer, then everything is fine again.
Actually, the problem seems to be either in the settings or in the software.
Bring the ropes, de dig.

I think the problem is in vidyah. For there are so many similar sympathies for everyone with this vidyaha ...

why are you lying? 400 is minimum enough for the eyes. 75 from PCI and 75 from bp.

I would take a minimum of 450 and not tickle my nerves in suspicion of a lack of power.

I agree with Lary Cross aka nick hander, it is better to take a power supply unit of greater power so that with a margin that would later not climb the forums and not look for the cause of the brakes.

Hello everyone, this question:
There is a stone (percent) - AMD Athlon II X4 635, 2900 MHz
Motherboard: Asus m4a89gtd pro
Memory: 16GB DDR3 1333MHz only)
PSU: AeroCool VX Plus 650 (650 Watt)
Video card: still the same, native Palit GTX550 TI 1GB
The essence of the question is that, starting this system and (at different times, sometimes it loads Windows, sometimes not) the video card begins to BEAT WILDLY, the coolers work at maximum speed, as a result of which the monitor (screen) is cut off, and it continues to hum until you turn it off.
I tried the same video card, only in a different motherboard (Gigabyte ga-f2a55m-s1), everything is absolutely the same, only there it reboots. What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance for your reply)

According to the description, the video card is overheating: clean it from dust, replace the thermal paste.
