The composition of the squad? (XCOM: Enemy Unknown)
Hello everybody! Share your experience - what is the most optimal squad composition? I liked the roster consisting of 2 snipers, 2 attack aircraft and 1 heavy and 1 support, it went well, but for a faster passage I began to use 4 attack aircraft and 1 support and a sniper each. He decided not to use the heavy ones, because their main advantage is in RPGs, and when using grenades and heavy weapons, the doctor from the base swears that she has nothing to investigate because of this ...Stormtroopers are many times stronger than all the others (with X-cannons together they knock down the most powerful "chicken" at a time), followed by snipers. Support and heavy infantry in the dump, they are generally useless. Genes and hardware, so ... indulge.
4 assaults and 2 snipers (properly developed), well, a couple of psionics among them. So there is a powerful imbalance in the balance of the game towards attack aircraft. IMHO
At high difficulty levels, such a detachment shows itself well:
3 attack aircraft, swinging for aggression, in ghostly armor, arc throwers / armor + chitin
2 supports, swinging for healing and thick smoke for protection, in titanium, med packs + grenades for undressing enemies
1 sniper, swing for a general view and occupation of heights, double shot, scanners, archangel armor, target + whatever, occupies a height and methodically shoots everyone who is seen by the rest of the squad The
heavy infantry in the late game is inferior to the attack aircraft, even robots can be killed by a good assault with quick fire otherwise, it makes no sense to shoot shelters, because the assaults simply bypass them along the flanks, so I do not advise having more than one, but it is better not to take them at all, but to bet on an aggressive game with the destruction of evil spirits on the spot)
I play 1 x com long war version for 5 years - as in tactics (the second part is frankly weak and stupid). I found a bunch of cool builds for each class and robots, for example, the last find - the machine gunner suppresses the area with the imposition of a mark and the imposition of a wounded animal + double shot))) - used to play from return fire. a sniper should have a shot at a glance - this is his top perk (+ armed and dangerous + double shot) any wrong choice of class perks will make the unit ineffective and when the horde rolls it will affect !!! + leveling a unit takes a monstrous amount of time (gene mod + psion perk + usual perk + training by the commander for + 8 accuracy) then it will be a shame - pumped pumped and he is a goof))) approximately 80 thousand experience is needed to develop all the characteristics by cap (4 missions = +1 characteristic point). robot shogun - lead rain fragmentation ammunition cumulative ammunition well-aimed for flying - total - took a position and everything dies: flying robots. sectopods. zhirtrestiny - it's a pity there is no armed and dangerous - very much to ask))). the best perks are for damage. the executioner is a useless perk. good health is useless - it does not work (only an assault on a commander in armor titanium + genetics neuro softening). one of the best damage dealers is a medic fully pumped into return fire + armed and dangerous. the most terrible damage dealer - a scout with a maxman rifle and all damage perks - flies out at 35++++ the more reptiles the merrier))). really like the goliath (but for small missions) - the only tank in the game at the expense of armor is a devastator and all the perks for defense and return fire - the chip, having lost a move, drive it into a crowd of mobs and the heat has gone - return fire within a radius of 4 cells AHEAD of any action - and he is back to back invulnerable (tactical module is welcome). Plasma stellator is a very useful thing - any damage can be a crit and this one will grow. if you first apply a single psi force and then apply over the area, then they add up (whom they apply has a psi-enhancing module) - the result of the queen of the hives superberserkers goliaths under psi armor - they play for you. favorite bunch of robots - valkyrie + keeper + shogun - they tear any of the most terrible missions. when storming giant ships, a rocket man with a fragmentation rocket always goes with them - at the very end (at the computer) she steers - the mobs always stand at one point - after which the assault is simple and pleasant. well, offhand - there’s just no normal information - I got to everything myself and it hurt ....
