DOOM Classic [DI, DII, D64]
Topics for the classic parts are probably somewhere in the wilds of the forum, but I did not find it and decided to make one to discuss all the classics, which, moreover, is now republished on current platforms. Here you can also discuss all versions of DooM games from the very first up to the version for the N64.
D64 passed today. Certainly not the first or second doom, but it plays well. I noticed that the size of the levels in the D64 is clearly smaller. I didn't like the design of some of the monsters.
This is all crap, the Orthodox version of Doom64 with jibs and cool lighting on the PC has been available since 2016!

Who played already at 64? How do you like it?
Better than Eternal.

Reissue of DOOM and DOOM II of at Unity are now available on Steam
Previously, they took to the consoles and smartphones, and the PC could play only in Bethesda launcher.
The developers have released a new update for the re-releases of the first two parts of DOOM - along with it, ports of classic shooters on Unity appeared on Steam.
Users will be able to choose between the new and the original version on DOS, however, upon purchase, the ports on Unity will be launched by default.
Mods like Brutal Doom should still work, however Bethesda does not recommend changing game files directly inside the Steam folder.
In addition, the DOOM and DOOM II update for all platforms introduces a number of improvements, including native 16: 9 support, as well as the ability to aim with a gyroscope on PS4, Switch and PC when using the DualShock 4.
A full list of new features can be found on the Bethesda website.

It's good that the classics are remembered.

For the first time passed completely classic Doom and 64.
In the last maps of the classics, sometimes there was such stuffy with the keys, especially in 2 parts, but 64 is just hell and sodomy.
From lvl 3, I already had a thought - what (Word deleted by the system) was their game designer? The buttons are hidden in some non-obvious places, by clicking on which you can open the hell, understand that, fuck, understand where and it can still be with a timer.
And you have to shoot some buttons, which you will understand only after half an hour of walking around.
Why did they shove in traps that infuriate the whole game.
Last boss is just an extravaganza, diarrhea in the face, it is simply unbearable to kill this feces without an abuse.
