Impressions of the DOOM Beta (Doom (2016))
Pure Halo, well, clean. Only the scenery is slightly different, the maps are closer. And there are much fewer weapons, of course, there is no technology. Pumping is stupid for the appearance of a character that everyone has no time to look at anyway. The colors of the weapon are like from Paint, with a non-default form, many details disappear and the color is very uniform (the only thing that saves us is the ability to add dust and scratches to the weapon). And in general it is not necessary. Close combat works interestingly - it "attracts" opponents with low HP from three meters, cancels the reloading of the shotgun - in narrow places it turns out a hellish mixture - shot-blow-shot-blow. Although there are no imposing tactics, combinations and weapons at all.It seems to me that multiplayer will quickly get bored - adrenaline-pumping, but very crowded. I played the beta in two sessions, after an hour I get bored wildly.
Spoiler
Doom 3 on Xbox was pretty much the same. Only much darker and without newfangled things.

Everything was clear at the first presentation. But narrow-minded people are still being carried on.

Especially "pleased" the moment when the IMP cut off the platform and Marin shot him in the air. A shot - and where the lumps went is not clear.
For some reason I could not kill the enemy from behind, I shot at him 2-3 times, and then he turned around and killed me in 0.1 seconds. tin
Briefly about the negative reviews on Steam from our favorite pseudo oldfagiks:
Spoiler The game itself is not bad for me, it can drag on. Quite dynamic and funny, and this is more than enough to kill for 2-3 hours in the evenings. I'm not some wild old-school nerd, that's why I have enough of this. I don't care what she copies from anyone, if the game is only for the benefit and it is not stressful and pleasant to play from this.
It's cramped, tedious, there is no sense of thought, cartoonish (this is certainly not a strong tragedy), there are no jumping races, KAAAAAK? where the rocket launcher is normal, where is the grenade launcher, what kind of game is it, colored beans are running around, it is unlikely that something will udevit, perhaps the single will be interesting, but the videos also show two crippled monsters and that's it. Hopefully everything will be OK, as this is beta. Real Doom Fans I think they got it and I think they were disappointed.
Everyone here swears at the typical "console" gameplay. But there are not so many games with such gameplay on a PC. Maybe this is still a plus? There is no variety. Yes, and you can relax from hardcore.
If you don't like the game, no one forces you to buy. But for old fans, yes, it's a shame. This is clearly not what they expected. But such is the world, not always everything goes as we would like :(

Also turn on the engines with a separate button, I thought it was a double jump, and on the revenant press the right mouse)

I understand that you are going to buy DooM for 4k on the console ...
2k on the PC.
About beta: The
scenery is too large, and not only in the game, it is completely consoled.
There is some dynamics, but all this has already passed with the best variations in Kwaku, Kwaku 3 Arena has not been moved (here is the dynamics with rocket jumps, runaway + rocket jump + rocket jump from the walls + at the same time you shoot at the enemy, rushing past the mess, which you created commands, by quickly switching to a railgun, after throwing the enemy into the air from an explosion, in the appendix 6+ kilos at a time, one rocket can catch two or three in the air) - there are their own chips, everything can be configured and made maps and modes, the choice of weapons, The damage is done by the user himself, only for PC, on consoles you can't do this if you only play with keyboard + mouse.
For the BFG gun respawn alone, there was a real battle.
It's sad that DooM is not only tuned for consoles (even the multiplayer lobby), but also parodies Quake - there is meat, but everything is primitive in the cartoon.

For review 49 minutes is too much, it looks like a stream)
The main weapon is plasmagun, not a good choice.
The results of the stream take 1 minute, and then in general)
I agree that the gameplay is being simplified, hello to consoles, there are no tactical solutions, yes, because the original maps are only narrow corridors. If the Snapmap is well implemented, then the players themselves will make a lot of good and playable maps, and not these two small and cramped maps presented in beta.
Just put it on multiplayer. The main thing for me is that the single is gorgeous. The last shooter where I enjoyed campaigning games was Wolfenstein The New Order. I hope Doom 4 won't let you down as a loner either.
Graphene is completely cool, even though it's beta, the gameplay is still the same, although they added a double-jump.
I have a question. In general, according to the system requirements, I had to have it go, but it started and played without the slightest lags. Yes, the graph was not great, but it was still normal. Do you think it will be the same on the single release?
