It's amazing how people can't finally peel off the tasteless pop music of fifty years ago.

Well, not so tasteless :) They had a few normal songs. And if there is at least one good song on each disc, then the team did not play the full r.

I prefer a separate TV-in comrade Lennon and Harrison.

but Road Trippin' & Lady Madonna rule =)

no, they have a lot of good songs. There is also some outright bullshit.

My father loves the Beatles. The music of his youth after all.

Are there really no Beatles fans here besides me? For example, I like the song Because is very calming.

Yes? Influence does not always equal popularity. For example, without Discharge, heavy music may not have existed at all, but how many of them do anyone know? The Beatles were rather just hyped. Namely, there are quite a few fundamentally important groups in history, and so, the evolution of music has always been very smooth and "distributed" over time periods or parties, rather than individual performers. For example, many musicians came to rock and roll in the late 40s, sometimes from different styles, and it is unlikely that the absence of Chuck Berry somehow changed what was happening. There were few, if any, truly unique bands. They all moved forward in small steps.

No, I meant that it is generally difficult to talk about "turning" groups. The same Discharge played in the spirit of the time, not much different from GBH, for example, but who would have thought that their playing style would become a cornerstone in the development of punk. And after all, there were a lot of such groups, even in the USA, some people came close to such musical formulas. Quantum jumps have nothing to do with it, this is not about that. I just wanted to say that the formation of new styles is not a matter of one, but of many; and therefore the rather popular reasoning "what if it weren't for something" is not very appropriate.
