The appearance of the White Wolf in The Witcher 2 (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings)

To be honest, I didn't like how the Witcher looks. In some moments, for example, when he is dressed in "Duplet Roche" he looks like a zombie, those dark circles under and above his eyes are somewhat reminiscent of a Batman mask, pale skin, pale blue lips. In this form, it can be directly sent to Left 4 Deth "without makeup to shoot." Of course, I understand that Geralt's life is hard, sometimes he saves kings, sometimes he sends all sorts of miracles - Yudo sends him to the other world, once he even died, someone stabbed him with a pitchfork (like a zombie). But still, I would like our hero to be not a pale goner with scars, but a man in "the prime of life", or at least with a healthy complexion.
By the way, in some videos that came out before the release of the game, for example, in "Gambling", Geralt looked younger and prettier,
But everything that is written above is my subjective opinion, and to you, dear friends, I propose to share my own impression of what Geralt looks like in The Witcher 2.
What did you like the most about your appearance and what did you like least? And what do you think the Witcher should look like? Fantasies about Geralt's appearance, including his outfit, are unlimited by some kind of framework, BUT let's agree that Geralt will remain the White Wolf, with his ashen hair.
If someone knows how to draw, it would be great if you depicted Geralt, how he should look in your opinion.

A white fox

drunk in "leaky socks" is already beyond good and evil :)

I agree, Mikhail Zhebrovsky is almost perfect for The Witcher! Everyone would have "his own Velmak" in his head, and Misha fits in almost all parameters. BUT, to play with him, you had to enter into a special agreement to use his appearance, and the developers simply decided not to bother with it. Moreover, the series "The Witcher" is known in Poland and here, and nowhere else! And the game is designed for a wider audience that Zhebrovsky does not know, and therefore the very meaning of using his appearance is lost. The Witcher isn't bad either!

Yes, in the comics, he looks like some kind of native or Chingachgook. We do not need such a Gerald.

CD Projekt RED 2007 and 2011, as they say, two big differences. When the first Witcher came out, no one thought that the game would be the bomb in 2007, and the best RPG game. And it was in Russia that she had a resounding success. Now in 2011, when The Witcher 2 is selling at the speed of light, and if you look at the ratings, the only game on the PC that is not inferior in sales to console games. Today's CD Projekt RED, a shark that can compete on equal terms with the monsters of the gaming industry, already has both the status and the money to conclude an agreement with Zhebrovsky to use his appearance, it would be a desire.
And for actors to cooperate with the gaming industry today is becoming a prestigious affair.
If we assume that Zhebrovsky will give the go-ahead for the use of his image in the game, it’s better for him, because he will be known not only in Poland and Russia, but also in the countries where the Witcher is released.
For me personally, The Witcher began with a game, after that I watched the movie and the series (and found out about the existence of Zhebrovsky), now I would like to read books.

The White Fox

Have you read the books yet????????????????????????? Marvelous! As far as I understand, you liked the game, and it is natural to assume that the first thing you want to do is read the original.
By the way, I think many will agree with me that the perception of the game by those who have read Sapkowski is fundamentally different from the perception of all others. Willy-nilly, I projected both game Witchers onto books and perceived only that way.

Projekt RED of today, a shark that can compete on equal terms with the monsters of the gaming industry, already has both the status and the money to conclude an agreement with Zhebrovsky to use his appearance, it would be a desire.
So I'm talking about this - but they need it ?! I repeat, but in my opinion, it turned out very well

Well, I don’t know, I didn’t watch the series, so I’m vague about Zhebrovsky * in the role of Geralt, although since you speak well of him as a witcher, you need to watch the series)

PS Better start reading quickly, the book is very interesting, it’s about everything aspects of life written))*

From this, the uncle would start sculpting the game! :)))

You got it right, I really really like the game. But for me, first there was a GAME, then a movie, and then books (which I will definitely read). This is the alignment, and there is nothing surprising here.

If you read the books, you will understand what is surprising here. Never before)) With all due respect to the game, Sapkowski is much better!
As for Zhebrovsky as a velmak, everything is fine. The only flaw with the director or whoever they were responsible for compliance was that Geralt's mutation touched ALL of his hair. BUT it's small

When you watch the series, don't spit too much)) Of the good things there, only Zhebrovsky and the fact that the guys tried to follow the novel, although there were differences. But the implementation...

Szevitja2 12.03.22

Of course, if you objectively look at the picture of the comic and at Zhebrovsky, then the second one looks better, but the comic Geralt is just closer. ;)

And I really like his stubble :)

S
SPRIGGAN 12.03.22

And I really like his bristles :)
This was calculated on this. With white stubble, he would have looked bad)) Just Marek Brodsky (director) said in an interview that they tried to portray the image of the witcher from the book as much as possible and they succeeded (except for the stubble). In fact, this is the only thing they did well)))
