I can recommend a couple of channels with detailed guides

I want to advisable to take monk. The most versatile class. And dps and tank and saves good and control as you want. Even can become a soldier of distant fight.

Ranged monk is like paladin with a magic wand. It generally only fists you have to play to maximum potential to develop. Well, you can give the duals or shield, but that is not the same. Yes, damage he is not sickly, and control nomrally. But for me he dribbles. Although in theory it should be a hardy adventurer, but in fact the place in party I has not earned (although damage was 1-2) Adventurer don't need to stand and catch the damage to have something to do with proper leveling, it generally works wonders as damage and control. Same thing with the barbarian. Those still tenacious and at least damany and control.

That to war - the best tank here. With proper pumping will punish all around a very robust design control (and on the machine, without micro) of DD it is not too bad, but only at target. The adventurer will not replace, but more tenacious. Due to a whole heap of bonuses on the weapon (like 25% only it gives) very weakly kicks off a two-handed (and there are +15 talent overall, +20 modelki total of 60+) and lives naturally longer.

Hello

Give one idea builds for solo playthroughs (character constructed in such a way gives a great damage, but requires a precise micro-control, so it's easier to play when he is alone:)

It is based on the talent Quick change: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Quick_Switch
If after togas as being attacked (was attack animation but has not yet appeared a strip-indicator that shows when the next attack, change weapon, then the time until the next attack greatly reduced (visually less than a second even for characters in heavy armor).
This waiting time can often be removed with a belt Coil resourcefulness: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Coil_of_Resourcefulness
If the time to change weapon after each attack, the pause between the attacks is only the animation of the attack. Ie is quite possible to achieve a frequency of 3 attacks per second

The next improvement of this scheme - to take up arms, giving some kind of effect upon impact
I tested paladin (of darkice) c Chapleton: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Spelltongue

Choropleth gives when hit 3 effect:

- reduces by 5 sec duration buffs on the enemy
- increases duration of buffs on the character. How much depends on have been buffs on the enemy or not. If you believe the description is +5 seconds for each stolen buff. But he also gives about + 1 second even if the opponent was not buffs
- gives +15% attack speed for 10 sec

Chaplet like barbarians due to class abilities, giving a secondary attack on adjacent enemies. But the barbarians have not so many self buffs (although the rage for the whole fight is nice)

In the case of paladin we get:

- the laying on of hands for the whole fight
- +20 to precision on almost the whole fight (ability Inspirational liberation: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Inspiring_Liberation develops herself), which gives more hits and crits (Dominelli - our best friends)
- +20 to defense for the whole fight after the first hit from the armor: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Ryona%27s_Breastplate
- if in heavy fighting scrolls giving use immunity, there is no need to waste time and scrolls for a second reading when the buff ends

PS to quickly attack the same weapon, you need to quickly change twice

I hope the information will be useful. Good game :)
