Processor and selection
Hello everyone, members of the forum. Quite recently I decided to change my processor, because my old dual-core man cannot cope with new games. My choice fell on the AMD FX 8350 processor, despite the fact that I often read comments where AMD processors "demean" that Intel is "indispensable for games". However, Intels are too expensive for my modest budget, so my choice was Amdi. And so, wandering through the wastelands of the citylink, I found this processor. I looked at its characteristics: 4 GHz, 8-core and even cheap. However, a doubt arose in me: "what if the processor is weak"? In general, I want to see your opinion about this "machine". Or maybe it's better to take Intel at all? I'm not very strong in processors. If you really take another, then tell me which one. The price, preferably somewhere around 11-15k.http://www.ferra.ru/ru/system/review/experiment-cpu-for-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-1080/#.V1soVuT55QE

First, an AMD processor won't work for you, because your motherboard is designed for "Intel". And the plug is outdated there. If you buy some modern solution (i5 6600, FX 8320, etc.), you will also have to buy a new motherboard. Perhaps it makes sense to look for a used Intel processor specifically for your connector. To do this, write the exact model of the current processor and motherboard.
Secondly, now is a bad time to buy a 900 series graphics card. The GTX 1070 and 1080 are just beginning to appear in stores. The 1070 at a price of about 35,000 is 20-40% more powerful than the 980 (depending on the game), and it also has 2 times more memory. So I would not recommend updating right now. Wait a month and a half for the new video cards to reach stores. And in the fall, the GTX 1060 will be released, which in terms of price / performance ratio may be even more interesting.
