So, I did some screenshots to demonstrate anti-aliasing in "ME2".

First, here are just a few shots from the game in 1600x1200 resolution with 16Q anti-aliasing:
pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru
pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru
pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru

Well, now, for comparison, two screenshots from the same angle with 16Q anti-aliasing turned on . the first is at 1024 by 768, the second is 1600 by 1200. Thanks to anti-aliasing, the difference is minimal:
pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru
pix.PlayGround.ru pix.PlayGround.ru

Well, in the end, to make it clear why anti-aliasing was invented at all;) Here, in general, is the option without anti-aliasing in a resolution of 1024 by 768. And, believe me, it still looks worse in motion:
pix.PlayGround.ru

At 1600x1200 without anti-aliasing, though better, but also not ice, especially if you have a large monik.

Well, do not forget that the image viewer built into the PG automatically "smoothes" them. To see the real state of affairs, after you clicked on the image and it opened in a separate window, be sure to do "zoom in / out". Then just evaluate.
Well, I have the "noise effect" turned on in the game there. Therefore, when approaching, the picture may appear blurry. I didn't turn off the effect, because I forgot to do it. :)

All good.

Fuh! Danced with a tambourine. Enabled anti-aliasing on Radeon.
Yes, the picture has become nicer, but you can't say that I regret not having turned it on earlier :)

It is done this way, gentlemen Radeonschiki, launch Catalist Control Center, put the anti-aliasing you need in the 3D submenu. And the main thing after that - change MassEffect2.exe to UT3.exe The
patch that is scattered here is needed only for those who have two video cards in Crossfire mode.

Enjoy the sleek lines;)

That's what I always like you for - the thoroughness of the approach to the issue! : D
Senks for your screenshots. F-fuh, I really thought that my hands were not from that place, but it turned out that everyone has such a picture. There is no ideal smoothing anyway, if you look closely in statics, even at 16Q (somewhere, on some particularly dirty plane, the edges will surely go jagged). The graphics in the game are gorgeous, I just thought, what if someone did better.
ZY: How would you like to continue saving the galaxy (sorry, but there will be no time until the weekend) ... :(

Folks, why when you put 16q at Filter 16, the toy flies and already above the filter you put the brakes?

the 4870x2 card should seem to pull the efektik to the full))

I have 2 radeon cards in crossfire mode, I downloaded the hotfix to which there was a link and I don’t know what to do with it. When I put 7, she automatically downloaded some firewood from the Internet without any catalist centers, etc. To install this patch, as I understand it, you first need to download the ATI katalist?

S
Stone cold 07.10.21

do you need to download ATI katalist first?
Truly so.
Download and install the katalist, and with it firewood.

D
Don_Simon 07.10.21

Found some katalist, weighs 50 megs and this despite the fact that the fix weighs more than 100. Mb left some kind of katalist? After all, the patch cannot weigh more than the program itself?

Stone Cold does not have to be repositioned in UT3, you can just remove 2. only to the point of anti-aliasing then there is nothing on the radeons, the picture is pleasant to the eye, but this is not yet you play and do not touch the mouse, with the game the brakes start wild right away! there is enough iron power for anything but here the brakes are wild .... you can see there is no optimization in this regard, here are the brakes. better without it.
it is unclear why they released a patch for Crossfire and not just for the usual single ATI card, you might think that all owners of radeons have two video cards ...

S
Stone cold 07.10.21

Don_Simon Catalyst really weighs about 60 mb by itself. What was put into the patch for 100 mb is, of course, not clear, but nevertheless, you can try.
serjik77 There really is ... no optimization. But in the settings of the Catalyst, do not set crazy values like x16 or x8, x4 is enough. For kraynyak and x2 will fit. If before that everything went without brakes, then it should not slow down with minimal anti-aliasing.
it is unclear why they released a patch for Crossfire and not just for a single ATI card, you might think that all Radeon owners have two video cards ....
Without a patch, anti-aliasing will not work at all for Crossfire, so don't rename it.

D
Don_Simon 07.10.21

I set myself the maximum anti-aliasing in the katalist. For a long time I was picking some filters, I didn't understand what they were for.

The difference of course is noticeable immediately, many roughness smoothed out, but not all (
I would like to know now that Catalyst will climb all the games with my settings? In other games I've got all the rules, spoil something.

Ps may have spoiled, maybe an excessive suspicion woke up in me, but! In GTA 4, all sorts of twitching seems to have become much higher than the norm ... How to fix it?

WHAT PARAMETER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TEXTURES ???
I'm already sick of looking at the feet of the Persians and robots.
Come to Illyrium for the first time and experience the drone limbs for yourself !!! and when we torture a mouse in a "bad" way.? horror. the armor in general is terrible !!!! I can give hundreds more examples of such a plan.!

St_DMon, Thank you for the good words.;)

DimanAnticrizis, launch the launcher, select the "configuration" there (this is not done in the game, but in Windows).
Well, there already, configure all the graphic settings.

To enable anti-aliasing for ATI owners with the latest firewood - download Hotfix for Mass Effect 2. Although it says that for CF, as practice has shown, not only. I put it on top of 10.1, in CCC I set the anti-aliasing forcibly and the ladders are gone. True, the FPS (HD5870 1920x1080) decreased significantly, set it to 4x, Edge-detect 24x, it became easier, there are no ladders =) uraaaaaaaaaa!

S
Stone cold 07.10.21

What is the practice? If everything works without a patch, then why install it? But if this makes you calmer, then you can put at least a hundred patches of any kind, please, it will hardly be worse.

M
MetalHeartZ 07.10.21

Let me explain. When renaming exe igruha flies, because there is a binding to steam (I have a litsuha, online preorder), and there are no other options, at least I tried everything described. In the case of a pirate, everything is probably much simpler, xs =)

S
Stone cold 07.10.21

And, well, I have a DVD license, really grunted, I don't like to mess with all sorts of online activations, and everything is really much simpler there! No wonder he quacked, then, not in vain;)

Here's what I did:

S
Stone cold 07.10.21

What have you done? Have you turned on anti-aliasing? It was necessary like AlexWake777 - screenshots before and after. And preferably in the same medical block, there are noticeable ladders.

S
SS86Precursor 07.10.21

I mean, I made a screenshot, I described anti-aliasing at the very beginning of the topic almost like cutting in, who did not help, my condolences. I just posted a cool screen =))
