DOOM 3 BFG Edition

I'm trying to buy, but one moment stops so far - in all the gameplay videos it is noticeable that the cartridges for all the guns have become incredibly large. I just picked up the machine gun, and there was already ammunition one level ahead. Does it depend on the complexity, or is it just such a move by Id to attract a "new" audience?
