Ending: Discussion (Spoiler alert) (The Last of Us)
In General, do not like me and that's it. Someone might like it. The whole game we walked through the city, kanaki, forests, spent an entire year and in the end we were shown a 30 second dialogue about how Joel lied to Ellie that she has many, all. Strange dogs, but I heard it will be DLC story, maybe it will give us a clear ending.Frost_47
Yes, in Heavy Rain's also feelings, not fears, if we consider from this point of view. Although it is much quieter, but the atmosphere to create turned out :)
Miriad
Heavy Rain - the cult game, just like The Last Of Us! On atmospheric HR certainly better, but the gameplay of TLOU is head and shoulders above)
Frost_47
I have, unfortunately, in Heavy Rain's vivement in the event did not happen. Perhaps due to the quick change of characters. In General, on taste and color, as they say)))
(sorry, we've gone from the topic)
I really liked the ending, let's just say Joel had a choice to either save the world or save the person to whom he was greatly attached, he's already after her escape and before the hospital was more to talk to her and as it did not consider her a burden and was ready for her to kill many people, he became attached to her and became cold-blooded to others, though of course in the end there is some specialnosti because the vaccine has not been invented as I understand it, but that is good for Joel and Ellie all ended well though and it pleases although I honestly thought that would be a bad kozuka, according to the setting of the game and the flow of the plot.
Liked the game and stands out from the majority of the fact that there is no moronic cheesy. The harsh and cruel reality. Glavgeroy not like to talk, like his cruelty and rigidity, because in this world in another way. Knocked information, killed without a shadow of regret, polesel brained. Even with last girlfriend is not particularly ceremony. Been waiting for this game for a 15 minute talk with a gun in his hand in front of a half-defeated enemy, which in the end because of the idle talk it come out of your hands beat or something will come up long ago tired of.
Lord, what are you, really?
Is it right to accuse a man of feeble mind just because his opinion differs from yours? To give some insane examples, and to desire the opponent was drowned her own daughter?
The ending is really controversial.
I, as a convinced humanist, I believe that sacrifice is an integral part of the world on this earth.
Don't know what I would do in place of Joel, but if I were Ellie, I'd love to would give his life even for the low probability of vaccine development.
Regarding the fact that “Fireflies” immoral community who use the services of murderers, rapists, cannibals and other riff-raff; in fact, terrorists can see, there is no other way. Thanks to these organizations to build the future. I do not believe – open the history textbook.
Despite the above, the ending left me satisfied.
Game is 10/10. I think it's the best exclusive on the PS 3.
With the ending I agree and share healthy selfishness Joel, BUT ! The game didn't show this new Paradise in the guise of Jackson city. If there is a normal life, smiles on the faces of people, positive, fun, music.... CULTURE, in the end ! Would have done level one in this town., you see, I like the player and would not want to leave, and after retiring wanted to go back... you can See that for the year Joel and Ellie akin, but here's the obvious motivation again to get back to normal life I discovered.
Hello comrades.
So I ended up in this thread on this forum for the first time, thanks to the wonderful game"The last of US
I'm not going to sing extra praises. There has been a lot said. Of course this game is a act of art in the world of video games, that's for sure.
It's not just a game - it's history, it's an interactive drama, giving the opportunity to participate as its development, it players.
And at the same time - for me personally, the value primarily lies in its philosophical message.
That is a lot of good games, masterpiece games a lot. But games for which I go to Google, typing tag: ending the lst of us and find the link in the first reply - these games units.
There really is something to think about.
The entire game, from beginning to end developed led us to the ending: this is the masterpiece of the plot , the integrity and consistency of the narrative. The whole game I'm like man, I sincerely empathize, I was sure that at the end of one of the GG will perish ( Joel).
And of course the ending just blew my mind. After the passage of I stupidly staring at the credits a few minutes, my stomach was kakoeto unpleasant feeling. I couldn't believe that it ended like this.
This feeling... This feeling of emptiness... the Feeling of deprivation of sense. So actually I found this topic, now write what you write. Because I was hoping to find an answer to a question that I had: whether the Rights were Joel in the act? Maybe something I missed? Something not noticed?
In my opinion philosophical message embedded developers - is simple: roughly speaking it formed by Dostoevsky in his"the Brothers Karamazov - the whole world is not worth the tears of a child.
Developers the answer is obvious - not worth it. Here above someone wrote that if for peace you have to sacrifice a dear person, then why do we need such a world.
This is the first philosophical moment in this game.
Now the second point. The second point developers have not explicitly runs through the whole story. Many write here it too is not spared: if the world and humanity, so cruel, so degraded - is it worth it to save? The developers and most to unsubscribe it gives a definite answer - not worth it.
So, the output after passing I got two a clear answer to a rather difficult philosophical questions. There are a couple of smaller marks on them I will stay lower.
I say so - I didn't expect SUCH uniqueness. So I decided to read the opinions of other people who have the game.
Opinion rather one-sided:
Basically all agree on the fact that they themselves would have done the same that this is the real world, but in the real world you need to score at all, to score on abstract humanity on wicked world. In the real world you only have to worry about yourself, high more about you dear people.
And the most interesting that in the next paragraphs these same people :D in all seriousness claim that: in General, do we need to save this world! where so many vile people, cannibals, murderers, robbers, that and strive to shoot you for a loaf of bread, or even rape!!!?? Apparently, so unsubscribing identify themselves with the representatives of the best of humanity, and would never do well as do the antagonists in the game :D
And really , is it necessary? :D
I see one apparent contradiction in the two I wrote above paragraphs? After all, murderers, rapists, cannibals, cannibals in the game do exactly the same way, as did Joel ( which all here are cheering for) - they are doing everything for themselves, spit on the world. They behave completely selfish, instead to unite and build a new society - they Rob and kill each other, taking away the last hope from each other the same. And slowly rot in their own selfishness, sinking lower down to cannibalism, to eating their own kind.
Yes, let Joel is still far below them ( although he admits that he was on both sides of the fence), it is people not eating. But isn't whether his act is the essence in line with their actions? Is it not what he did - an ode to selfishness?
Yes the world is imperfect , Yes the world is cruel, Yes, people are bastards, Yes, Cicadas do not know how to dispose of the whey. But this does not mean that the world is not even worthy of the chance.
Someone here blamed the little Elia, which is the entire game wanted to sacrifice himself to save the World - they say she's a child, inexperienced, does not understand, and therefore can not be solved, it hammered into his head, etc. But Ellie, at least, have purpose and meaning in life.
All of you put yourself in the shoes of Joel and think, Yeah, I'd do the same if Ellie is my daughter!
But none of you are putting yourself in the place of the WORLD. The world in which the narrative. The dying of reality, which may have been the last 5% of a chance at life. None of you puts yourself in the place of Henry and Sam? They, and millions such as they could live, but never will - because Joel is a selfish m***K.
No one, no relatives of patients with cancer? I have. I'd give anything for a cure. Really. I see how they suffer every day, cling to life, but to live there seems to be no sense, because there is no cure.
You know what it's like to be terminally ill and be aware of it? I think not.
You say it is a good ending because it is realistic.
Yes - it is realistic because it shows all the meanness of human selfishness, all the meanness of human cowardice. But is it good?
Joel saved Ellie for Ellie is not Joel saved Ellie for Joel.
95% unsubscribing here in case of falling into a situation similar game themselves will become killers, rapists and cannibals, because in the absolute, they put the principle of survival at any cost. And if from the point of view of one part of this makes sense - individualism, from the point of view of survival of the whole is death.
Civilization in the game died it was so, because instead of unite, humanity has split into small handful of selfish worms, are not capable of doing.
no words. the ending is just amazing! deeply thrilling. I haven't been so fascinated by the story, and also have not worried about the characters so much. Bravo to the developers standing
yeah many say that in the world some rapists bandits and marauders. I'm sure ugali all so degraded plus remains Europe, Asia that there is one knows. and for the sake of Oh maybe 2% of normal people Joel refused the world.

Here you give you an example: a cure for cancer. It is possible to save a loved, someone you care about. Now imagine this-one scale. On the second-all the rest.
Add to that the isolation of Joel. It all these twenty years he lived and Ellie choked in himself all that even slightly reminded him of his daughter, the feelings of attachment. Survived.
Remember how long it repelled her, as long resisted the opportunity to feel the affection. He remembered what it led to, and was afraid of it.
But gave up.
And in the end it is just an old man, which collapsed all the protection that he built for twenty years. For him there was only Ellie.
In the scale of humanity Joel did was wrong. But he saw the possibility of a cure cancer, cure for the death for Ellie, and did so, as would any MAN in his place, contrary to HUMANITY. Because all this pales before love.
Love is a terrible force, she led Joel to selfishness. Love, strengthened by twenty-twenty years without her.
Joel did was wrong. But in another way no one would and could not.
sponge Bong
The surface reasoning of the first aeratorov.
Went yesterday to the game, the ending is ambiguous in terms of human qualities Joel doubts,he was no hero and a good friend, but an ordinary selfish,I will explain why this opinion:he was very attached to the heroine - she became for him like a daughter, mother, he has lost and then he had no life, and it was just the survival, but having met and privatives to Ellie he found a man for whom they would live(even his girlfriend, are unable to breathe life into it because of her loss he wasn't too worried)and the loss of that person for him would be nautiluses stroke after which he never recovered and that's what he was afraid to oshutit loss again, and because of this selfishness he was deprived of a world of hope for a healthy future,it is a very bad thing to dispose of millions of lives because of a loved one, especially Ellie's doubts would have acted reasonably and would have given his life for the sake of other people, not weather wise and intelligent girl, and Joel just thought of myself and was a coward in this regard. So would many in his position because it's the path of least resistance don't need to fight yourself, and just do the dictates of the ego.
Looking forward to the sequel,I think Joel dies,Ellie will be playing.

The company said that TLOU 2 will not. But since for gaming not watching the news could miss something important. =)
IMHO, if (!) the second part will be, just for the PS5 because the first has not yet exhausted itself.Gameplay will be similar, except that will improve the crafting system. As for the plot... most Likely everything will revolve around the bite: Joel and Ellie back in Boston, who captured the Fireflies (Cicadas). Soon after the return of Joel and Ellie declared wanted. The only person to whom they can turn for help - a friend of Robert, a guy named Dan. First he helps them, but then rents them Fireflies. Joel and Ellie run into the city bill, but he sends them far away, on the grounds that with Joel, they even. They wander through the cities, but Ellie suddenly show signs of infection. Joel feels for Ellie that her father's feelings, do not know what to do. By chance he remembers KZ Cicadas. He goes to him , hoping to get the vaccine. Unfortunately Fireflies no vaccine. But doctors Cicadas can get fungus without the death of the patient. But they have no tools. Joel goes to look for them, and Ellie and KZ. Then there are two possible events. Joel finds the tools and returned to KZ, where doctors carried out an operation make a vaccine and cure for Ellie . Either Joel lied to Ellie, already dead. In a fit of rage he tries to kill the doctors with the result that he will die. The second option is most likely because the Cicadas are taking revenge on Joel, and that ending ensures that no fanatics who will want the third part.
I don't understand people, why are you dissatisfied?A happy ending in the game.Unlike mass effect where the ending did that much puke drawn and everything is fine, all good, all alive and no one gave someone's life for the good that there
Passed the game at the time, this is my first game on the PS4, the experience and the only positive about the ending it's cool,in General, expect and hope for part 2)
The ending is very similar to the beginning. Joel also has Ellie and Sarah 20 years ago... Amazing!
