Impressions of the game (The Evil Within 2)
Well,finally the game was released,share in this thread their experiences,the first part I really liked,and the second part I was looking forward to.Spoiler
For me this year, there are two masterpieces,Divinity: Original Sin 2 and now The Evil Within 2,game,games in this genre come out very rare,the more valuable it is,especially after the drain RE7.
Note of the shortcomings,what I have done outdoor location,this is not very good,in the first part of the corridors where better was,again, the enclosed space gives you much less room to maneuver,and thus complicates the game,and then you can easily run without problems,but then again in the second part it kompensiruet the fact that interesting to explore the various houses and hiding places,well, you location made a huge design and style game by 10 points,a sort of mixture of SH and Alone in the Dark have the latest features,for a very long time no one or anything like it did.
Still the disadvantages I would mention that all the same enemies could make for varied,well bosses again lose the first part,the first part that there is only Laura,that's really cryptofa thing was (by the way here is the moment where she drags GG with his claws),and is the only atmospheric boss,it's crap in the hoodie who sings the song,but again it is inferior to the same Laura,not to mention that if you even compare all of the bosses from the first part,the same Guardian.
But these shortcomings kompensiruet just great storytelling,glitches GG and then changed location again, this is done simply at times steeper first part,honestly I can't even remember a game where so cool it was served,the atmosphere is off the charts,it is the strongest part of the game and I forgive all the shortcomings of the game.
The plot is much more interesting to watch than the first part even slides when Kidman comments on the events really deliver,the level design is simply amazing,here the developers tried to fame,now one Capcom need to learn to do a proper Survival horror,long-game did not impressed with their atmosphere and design.
The stealth mechanic works even better than the first part,which is only one skill a predator when you can quickly run up to the enemy and urabotat it a couple of strokes,it really saves ammo,crossbow like in the first part of one of the best,even ordinary steel bolts pumped to the third level stand the only as enemies,not to mention the fourth,when adds the effect of fire,what can we say about the explosive and freeze bolts.
Well, the shotgun is also out of competition,even against the thickest of mobs,but if you have the ability to pump when every next shot deals greater damage, all tin work.In General, the pumping pleased,although all the same skills it was possible to do more.
Mechanics as in the first part very happy,and the swinging scope,and stamina,and the enemies are mateutse in different directions,it really delivers,this is for me one of the most important elements,proper Survival horror,really fun to play.
How happy that there is almost no scripted enemies which cannot shoot (just like it was in RE6),then enter the room and immediately the dead man in turnip shoot well,or finish off with an axe,which would then there are no surprises.
However, there is a joint in the first part if you throw the bottle just in my head,some enemies can be stunned quickly run up and finish,then they are not stunned,a bottle can only be a distraction,and exempt from capture, with appropriate abilities.
I play on survival and ammo problems at all there,which is somewhat frustrating (especially since they can craft),but the second time I'll pass on the classics,so there will be brutal,even in some sense steeper than Akuma from the first part,though Akuma was harder in the sense that you one hit or shot and you're dead,start the game from the beginning,in the second such no,but you will not be able to swing weapons and abilities,it certainly would be tough to pass.
Overall I'm playing it again,now going through Chapter 13,and impressions going through the roof,in spite of the disadvantages which I described above,the game really delivers,a couple of spoons of tar does not spoil a barrel of honey,the more games in this genre come rarely,Tango Gameworks did a great job,I hope they will continue to please so cool,hardcore, and atmospheric games.
