How do you feel about old games?

That's interesting to know the opinion of people for this reason. What do you think, is it worth to spend time on the old platform and the game or now it turns out a lot that time and desire for them to do? And another interesting point - whether you play in the first game of any major series (such as Tomb Raider, The Elder Scrolls), before passing the new or immediately proceed to their modern versions? Thanks in advance.

There are a huge number of old games that are insanely nice to go again and again. Some incredibly good, others evoke memories and nostalgia. I like to replay them, and to open new / old games!)) And if there's any reference in the new game to the previous, make sure you try to pass them first! After all, old friends are best!))))

Respond well to those old games that he played in the old days. From scratch to assess the junk pretty hard, but some really hit games, like Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Shadow of the Colossus, was able to penetrate and years after release, which I missed due to age and/or lack the desired platform. Some games do not age and deliver still better than modern. Plus old games are very fun to dig with the point of view of the historical aspect of game development, i.e., interesting to look, as the developers used to cope with technical limitations which trailer was used for entertainment of the player, the mechanics of which live with us for several decades, which is long gone in history, etc. This is very interesting, but again, sometimes it's hard to get used to the old game and understand its rules.

All the best came out before 2007 (ending the era of such games as Cruises and Bioshok), all masterpieces and classics and all of the nineties. So Yes, if you have not played those old games you've lost and missed. Much from the word all ;]
best for the nineties

The peak of the best games accounted for 2005-2010 At the time developed a very thoughtful attitude to every detail in the game, take into account the possibility of gamers and the psychological nuances, we can say treated with respect for the gamer. And then off we go: template simplification, the pursuit of effect and graphics. And now all the pursuit of profit. Games full and play nothing. So people go back to old games. I also stand over the years and playing mood.

you can play old games for their gaming topics.
it is possible for gastronomic research interests
to beat the game epic to play especially I do not see sense but nostalgia can
regarding the series exploring the origins of the first - depends on how the game is outdated in the framework of the established understanding of modern games within the series. AZM for example playing GTA 1-2 as something scary and in the next series I was playing at the time. similarly, some sort of wasteland 1 and 2, peck-peck. in the first play don't see the sense in the second however togeo etc. in elder of scrolls those that to Morrowind I puffed some time to play epic edokov 2005 year in additional not I feel the desire to go back.
the overall situation can be described so that the old game is okay but tasted new and fresh games to play them is not so much fun as it could be.

I love the old games!
Especially those that came out in the 90s.
Because then a lot of the close it was.
There's even specifically a VERY old computer for parts to collect in order to play them.

Old toys are extremely positive. Many old games are not less interesting than the new.
For example, the Longest journey, Dreamfall longest journey, Space Rangers, Hitman Contracts.
No wonder some of the old games many times re-issued on the new platform.
For example, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky came out in 2006 and several times the pen was produced.
Can be long to list them, but it is better to play...
Spoilerthe more that the old game less demanding on the video card, well go for example on a GF9800.

Before passing through Andromeda again pereproshel the trilogy of mass effect with Fallout 4 similarly ( Except for Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel)

Positively, after all, they sure knew how to make games, Yes the challenge was. But some of them cannot run on the new hardware, and the animation is off-putting. Now waiting for the reissue of SW: KOTOR, Bioware can take and adapt it under new hardware, but I don't want to dance with a tambourine in front of the monitor to launch the game a decade ago. Even Bethesda promised to re-release Morrowind, and that old I don't want to play. My favorite shooter Return To Castle: Wolfenstein is impossible to adapt a large monitor without prayers to Lucifer.

Occasionally I play through the tractor controls and the language barrier. But what I will say, they are very often really fun to play. Grafona no, he can be monstrous, scored pixel pixel pixel club, but there is everything else, so you can believe you are in that pixel kid in the helmet. And it is easy to believe that the most important thing. Good graphics machine cuts off the imagination and rarely something gives in return, igrodelov in this case is bound to draw me what I want to see...but he does know that I want to see?)

They deserve respect for the achievements by the standards of his time, but as a rule, modern superior and tossing them about the same as the person passes in the development of flat worm. And the audience is not so easily conducted on the bling, hype and promises. For example, compare HL2 and the new prey. Compare atmospheric, but a primitive Fallout 1 and new Vegas.

Now everything is so developed, studied, optimized, and established interaction and development that... well, of course from new games it is expected that they will be richer, more beautiful, more interesting, more convenient old. Old games from the time when have not yet developed a user-friendly control? Very interesting, but no thank you. Or games, when developers had squeezed into the 256-color palette and coding of a game is unpredictable specifications of the individual GPUs, and the plot put into a text file in the installer folder.

They sometimes interesting to see what was for example this year I Anril 1 for the first time passed. Impressive.

I think no one would argue that now lives better than the Middle ages or antiquity, and this is not to deny the achievements of the past. With games still.
