Memory usage (RAM) (Grand Theft Auto 5)
Happened to notice that the toy eats only 1.5-2 GB Rama, of the available 12 GB. Nowhere couldn't find settings for it, it is possible to make it a little less modest ? The game runs on ultra in FullHD and does not frieze, of the bugs only noticed that sometimes the car is literally lost because of the back. Something tells me that between these things there's a correlation... Or is it normal... ? But then why in requirements it is written that it should be at least 4GB and preferably 8GB ?Here skrinshotik...

good day I have a computer 4gb RAM gtx 650 (2gb VRAM) and amd phenom ii x4 840 I have right now on high settings at an average of 40-45 fps but sometimes drops to 30 fps,so if I put another 4 GB of RAM and I stop the game to pull the memory from the paging file the FPS increase?is to put 8 GB of RAM?

judging by the reviews of people with 16GB+ operatives, it requires 8.5 GB of memory, but still sags. don't bother, better settings lower make

To fall to 30 may be longer , but not a fact. With 8GB memory you still need to do the paging file. Disable it only with 16+ GB. And it with 16 GB of memory somewhere consumes 5.5-6.2 GB.

If the SSD drive,then drawdowns and the lag will disappear (tested by ME on their system). BUT! This is assuming that the problem lies in the disk subsystem, and a processor with a graphics card draw the game. In your case, most likely, the result will be zero - the processor and video card is frankly weak. Can try to reduce the minimum settings and set still on the SSD not just the paging file for the OS, and the game itself.
About memory capacity: it Is believed that GTA 5 is very demanding on the RAM and in any volume, even 32GB, there comes a time when popping up an error about lack of memory... This is assuming that the paging file is disabled and everything happens in RAM. So I would not expect the RAM in your place.But to add another 4GB won't hurt, today 8GB is the minimum for gaming...

I did that(put 8 gigs).Friezes disappeared, but the PERC I model is older and the card is weaker than the GTS 450.Uproar in myltse 1280x720 : )
More than 6 gigs is not eating and my Hitachi 1.5 Tb 5400 rpm almost never uses, as it was 4 gig.Better to take a SSD

Your RAM is all right, I personally have eating 2100 MB to the Ultra.

For GTA 5 you need 4 gig of RAM, not 6
Try to see whether or not the memory limit
1) Press Win+R
2)Enter msconfig
3)Go to the tab Loading
4)Click more options
5)Take off the checkbox from the option High memory (well, along with may include the kernel)

I have i5 3470, 8gb RAM, Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2gb (on resolution 1400х900) is maximum, except for penetrating. And I will say that I also have friezes on the server.
