hmm... I game a dozen of the most atmospheric:
Fallout I-II, the most atmospheric game in the world.
Gothic I-III is one of the most atmospheric RPG series I have played.
Neverwinter Nights - fantasy atmosphere and the rushing of this game.
SW: KotOR I-II, the most atmospheric series of games in the Star Wars universe.
Silent Hill 2-4 - the most psychologically atmospheric game series.
Morrowind is a great and memorable atmosphere.
Vampire: the masqurade - Bloodlines - the most atmospheric game for the vampire life.
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Oblivion

PS one Can only sympathize with those who call Half atmospheric game, poor things, they haven't played in a really atmospheric game (see my list, for example).

Fahrenheit? WHAT is the atmosphere there? The game is definitely good, but atmospheric I would not call.
I would say Silent Hill, DOOM 3 and I. G. I. 2

Planescape: Torment is very atmospheric, it is a pity, a thousand times sorry that I have not played it. :(((((

Half life is a very atmospheric game. But if someone does not agree - argue. And don't tell me just start with saying he began to argue. Argue, if there are opponents.

F. E. A. R. - quite an atmospheric game (though many will say that it is not). Scares often enough and this fear is so... on the other hand, on printsipu can be called any atmospheric horror. Silent hill, for example...
Max Payne 2 super atmospheric game (the first part is not played because will not tell).
GTA - all parts are very atmospheric, and the competition among them keeps Vice city simply because if I'm talking about the armed forces, that the sight of me burning up the sunrise and sunset, girls in bikinis, riding, ice skating, etc.

Although this is not the whole list, but that's just nothing more to remember. So for me, stress for me is the most credible list of the most atmospheric games.

you know, I Half life 2 has no atmospheric game, there is such fear out there, in the same silent hill feel of speed like in Niid Fort AIDS. the only thing I felt in there so it's easy genotsyd all. however, I do not criticize half a good game, but without its special atmosphere

The term atmospheric campaign is necessary to understand the twisted cool but not convoluted plot which is able to hold fast to the gamer in the game plus sickly gameplay.
