DLC Syndrome. I think this is the most appropriate thing to say about Riptide. The game seems to be complete, but the feeling is still the same as if you are playing in addition.
Riptide's story revolves around the same characters from the original game and introduces another newcomer (which I chose as the playable character). The game itself shows us the events taking place after the original Dead Island. Escaping from Banoi, a group of survivors finds themselves on a ship on which a hotbed of infection also flared up. During a storm, the ship crashes and the heroes find themselves on the island of Paranai. This island is from the same archipelago as Banoi. It turned out that the virus also got here. The plot is not so hot and so understandable, and the side quests are boring and not memorable. Surely the developers decided to just submit at least some kind of completion of the first part.

Action again takes place on the island. Everything would be much worse if it were not for the city, in which it was much more interesting to dangle with the study of the game world than through the jungle. Of course, if we talk about the beauty of the locations, then visually it is all beautiful, there is where beauty can be found. Henderson, in particular, really liked it. In terms of detail and design, it is in no way inferior to the city of Moresby. And now about the most pleasant thing. The gameplay here is certainly good. If in Dead Island you have already crossed everything, Riptide will extend your fun for a few more hours.
