Dead Island 2011 I liked it right away, especially the resort location of Banoi, one of the resort islands of Papua New Guinea, and the rather interesting city of Moresby, in the design of which a sincere approach was guessed ...
But what happened to Riptide? When I first came to the town of Henderson, I saw a blatant hack on closer inspection and study of its streets. From the first steps he looks even amusing, some kind of railings and lanterns with stairs, at first it even arouses interest. But ... Firstly, it is essentially bullshit in the sense that it only seems big and promising. In reality, it is not at all great, and its visual vastness is only an illusion.
The hack-work of the graphic plan is especially striking, everything is somehow careless. The level of drawing and design of the city of Moresby from Dead Island was an order of magnitude higher. There was more space, there were cars and the possibility of partial movement on them.
In general, all this is painted with a foot in watercolors and looks too poor for a worthy continuation + a poor set of game locations in comparison with the 2011 game.
