By the way, there is even a mod that allows PS VR to be connected to a PC to play Steam games

failure in what? If the game is really cool, they will buy it. Let there be a small number of players, but keep in mind that the Valv index costs 90-100 times more than the game itself)) And I doubt that Valv are looking for direct financial success.
