In the same Stalker, it is much closer to the body - there are warriors, there are single stalkers, there are brothers and there are mercenaries. Here is a circus and clowns. In general, the author does not fumble at all in the materiel, there are many mistakes, and major mistakes. Well, about the fact that at the end of the book Artyom directs the fire of the multiple launch rocket system at a point target - so generally ridiculous. The setting is generally interesting, but Glukhovsky is a horse and a goof.
