About games from Remedy, they are unique. Far from perfect, but they definitely try to surprise, bring something of their own, and that's great.
In Control, combat is so-so, dynamic, interesting, abilities are almost better than weapons, with pumping, but in itself nothing unique.
Optimization, all of a sudden ... no, even like this: SUDDENLY !!! excellent. Especially with RTX + DLSS. The bundle works just gorgeous and even at 2080 vidyuhe in 2k produces quite playable 50-60 FPS at maximum settings. No stuttering, stuttering or anything else.
And here we come to one of the foundations on which the game rests. Graphonium, design, reflections, light. This is not even just excellent, it is even in places a work of art and an example of how to honestly and fully use RTX, which in many other projects can only be seen with a magnifying glass. The look, the style, even though everything happens among the concrete walls and offices, is simply incredible and even brings to mind the thoughts of Kubrick.
Excellent textures, effects, the destructibility of the world is not just for show, but really decorates the game and makes the battles much brighter. Just incredible reflections. Actors perfectly transferred into the game. The facial expressions, lip movements, animation are brilliant.
By the way, about the characters. The main character is a minus, as not very memorable as ... uh ... ahh ... in short, that dude from Quantum Break, except that she talks to herself. Some are good, some are stupid (like Marshall). But Dr. Darling and Ahti drag SO that they can easily compete with Alan Wake and even our Max Payne! In general, although there are not many actors, they are not bad, sometimes even gorgeous.
And finally the plot. This is the second and main reason for the game. Sam Lake is doing something incredible. A multifaceted, mysterious, incredibly stylish world. Which is, in a particularly chic surprise, a great expansion of Alan Wake's world, which will have several references. Now the events in Byte Falls are not a unique manifestation of the otherworldly, but only one AMC out of many, but at the same time the world is simultaneously perceived in a new way and at the same time very recognizable.
No, this is not an amazing saga that will make you cry, the game will not change your life. But it will definitely sink into the mind. Because the plot is very strong and detailed. Tons of notes, tons of materials from the Bureau's files, recordings, video presentations, even a puppet cartoon! The world of the game breathes, lives and falls in love with itself. Including some vintage and cultural references, all these people in black, government paranormal investigations, cover-ups, etc. One wants to explore and explore him, look into every nook and cranny, read every note. And this, which is typical, is rewarded.
An excellent action game with a detailed world and a plot of 30 hours. Another unique game from Remedy. The Finns rarely burn, but aptly.

Two DLS are already included in the current version.

The first tells about one of the characters from Alan Wake. You can go after the 7th mission or later, in fact, it is sideways. But who will resist, kamon gais, this is Alan Wijk!
And then it turns out that although Wake appears, but this DLS is not about him at all, although it is directly tied to that game. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Bright Falls. It's scary to even think how awesome it would be, given the overall chic style of play, but no, there are again offices and concrete walls that don't even try (unlike the annoying offices and walls of the main game) to seem new. Fortunately, at the end we will have a bold reference to the fact that Alan Wijk 2 will still be. There are additional tasks, quite norms, except for the same type, even some MMO tasks of Ahti. But in general, this is just a reference for the sake of reference. 7/10

The second DLS, The Foundation, continues the events of the main game and revolves around the disappeared one of the worst characters. What is especially pleasant we get out of concrete walls and offices into caves and astral worlds, which brings freshness to the game. Everything is also extremely stylish and looks great.
