Impressions of the game (Doom Eternal)

I never cease to admire the game, for me personally this is the best shooter and the pinnacle of ID evolution, I have not experienced so many challenges and impressions from shooters for a long time (perhaps only in STALKER mods), I thought after DooM 2016, ID will not be able to surprise me, but they succeeded, in Doom Eternal all gameplay elements and mechanics were improved and finalized, most importantly, the gameplay became even faster and furious, became more hardcore and requires a more correct choice of weapons for different enemies and in different situations.

DLCs ​​are even more pleasing (in DooM 2016 they were very lacking), especially the first one, which simply surpassed the main game, because special enemies appeared that also require a special approach and again make the game a little more difficult and interesting.

It’s also pleasing that throughout the whole time events constantly appear where certain conditions must be met, and for this you still receive various rewards in the form of changing the appearance of the GG, demons, interface, etc., it’s a pity that you can’t change the appearance of demons in the company (this it would be a great challenge for repeated passages) but only the type of GG.

And surprisingly, the cornucopia does not end there, then chic master levels come out, this is again another step for those who lacked all the content that was before, and naturally master levels require even more skills and knowledge from the player.

And then a hard mod comes out as a cherry on the cake, in which everything that was before it was embodied together (in part it is a bagel mode), for me it is without exaggeration a masterpiece in the shooter genre, here you can put 11 points.

It's a pity that other developers don't even come close to doing something similar, although wolf and board are also close to some extent.

And of course, one cannot fail to mention that ID is the gods of optimization.

When I bought a new laptop, downloaded it, smoked it and sat down to play this doom ... at first I almost threw up from what was happening, my brain was not ready for this. Then I got used to it, and the game got tired, I didn’t reach the end. Some kind of multitasker

I know the DooM series from Doom 3 in 2004.
DooM 3 is horror for me.
DooM 2016 is the most beautiful, with the best atmosphere, but very simple, at maximum difficulty I died 5-10 times in it on the first playthrough, and then on the bosses. Having received a rocket launcher, a Gaus cannon and a double-barreled shotgun, you become unkillable and even give you a bunch of BFGs when it’s already very difficult to die. In general, there was no challenge.
DooM Eternal - beautiful, technologically advanced, damage to enemies pleased! But the atmosphere is not at all the same, as if you feel that you are stupidly sitting in front of a monitor and playing a game, you are not immersed at all.
I was pleased only with the complexity, my ass was kicked dozens of times! Accuracy and experience of shooters alone were not enough, I had to learn how to use a belch, grenades, a bloody blow, quick switching, which I only learned about in 2022))) There was always enough marksmanship in all shooters, apparently this is some kind of Quaker trick. In general, the gameplay is diverse, forcing you to come up with a unique style of play!

I give the game 8 points out of 10.

For me, it was perfect if they didn’t make such a cartoony look, removed half of the collection of toys, disks, tests for a gunsmith point, all this kills the dynamics of an already long game. By the way, advice, cut off these stupid tips and tutorials, they won’t teach you anything useful.

Guys, don't play The Ancient Gods on a nightmare. If the main game can be completed normally, then the freaks of the developers didn’t make a balance there, stupidly threw mobs on the map, obviously didn’t pay the testers money, decided to pay themselves more for pitchforks and yachts.
It gets to the point that you often often get stuck in mobs xD They respawn right on your head, but the obsessed became the last straw, in the second mission in the final of the arena, two "Hell Barons" mobs spawned, one of which is obsessed, ~5 times I died during spirit kills, ~4 times he moved into the second baron of hell, I certainly understand this is super unlucky, but this does not negate the fact that the developers are complete idiots, leaving so many difficult opponents at the very end of the arena, well, make them at least in the middle FIGHT!!! By the way, the same theme in all arenas, just here it is wildly obvious.

On ultra cruelty passed on the first try. Well, this is not surprising, given that the damage on it is exactly two times less than on the nightmare. But there was no longer any desire to play on such difficulty, purely because of psychology.
IMHO, if you can’t balance on high difficulty, then you need to offer such an unbalanced call to people after beating the game.
