Very cool, but the feelings are still mixed. The new part seems more cartoonish than the first or second. 

At one time it was the main game in my life - we played an uncountable number of times with an older sister in a cooperative ...

In fact, my dream is a full-fledged continuation on modern rails, in the style of the recent Year of the Thief. I think it would be normal.

the series is of course cult. This is one of the three whales on which the genre of Japanese bitemaps is based (also nekketsu and double dragon). so far everything is very positive - they drew the new cool, added the old, tightened up the composers.
