How do you feel about old games?
It's interesting to hear people's opinions on this. What do you think, is it worth wasting time on old platforms and games or there are so many new games coming out now that there is no time and desire for them? And another interesting point - do you play the first game of any major series (for example, Tomb Raider, The Elder Scrolls), before passing the new ones, or immediately proceed to their modern versions? Thanks in advance.
Ghost Hunter
And for you the old games are of course Duggerfall and GTA 1. Or maybe "electronics" where the wolf collected eggs? PG is a site where mostly people under 18 sit. For me the "oldest" game is HL1 from '98. And why be nostalgic about pixels and square heads? There's a limit to everything.

Magnum 500
I've been playing games since the 70s-80s. And I still do to this day. Not even for nostalgia. I play on retro computers (not dos), retro consoles and machines. Secondly on the original live hardware, everything else on emulas.
There are people for whom gaming is just a passing entertainment. People like me, live it.
So when you talk to people who are not on the subject, it seems that we are from parallel worlds.

Well, let's say games before 2004 somewhere are physically sick to play now, but in general old games are a good thing.

Camon, it's different for everyone. There can't be one right answer for everyone.
Some are still stuck on dandies, and for someone even games from the last generation of consoles are no longer seen as torturous.
You can't be the only answer.

All those nostalgic for the old games, I would advise to buy a TOP PC. And immediately the game will stop being made for morons? Oto shader life-giving do, graphonchik at maximum, and immediately the maps will cease to be guts with clips on the engine, the dialogue - a wheel with three options, yes, yes, but then the location will appear interactive elements and a bunch of optional rooms, and the role system ceases to be emasculated wisp of three bars. I also heard that in this case, turns off the permanent online, and Vasians, with one crinkle and that one on his ass, dramatically begin to wrap doctoring at least.
Wonderful. And if you wash the soap out of your eyes, you can immediately see that the mechanics of almost every new game is not far away from the level of Knights of Xentar or even some Rydie. Why do we need gameplay-influencing dialogues, because a moron can't, he'll get stumped. Why do we need playthrough variation, because the moron won't see options more complicated than "call them all. Why do we need a big level, we have to show all the clips and fit into the declared 5 hours of gameplay. We don't need humor either, we'd rather have pathos and seriousness to save the world from the evil world selling donuts around the corner. We need some erotica, so we're gonna put in some clips. Desmond, your legacy is not wasted, see? Well, or we have nothing at all, so we drew a map, handed out the players weapons, and let them entertain themselves, not forgetting to pay us for the lack of work, a brilliant plan, right?)
And a top-end computer will definitely save from the raw alpha for full price. Where to modern masterpieces some old thing, which, oh, the horror, at the time of release at least passed. Fi, this approach is outdated, now in vogue not to do shit, only to beg for money, then throw a piece of raw code and...go to another project, leaving the Indians to sort out this one. For years, at the expense of the players.
And do not shove a decent one and a half tiles, pillows with diviniti all the holes will not plug, and the simulator of a hoodlum good only for hoodlums.
