How do you feel about old games?

It's interesting to hear people's opinions on this. What do you think, is it worth wasting time on old platforms and games or there are so many new games coming out now that there is no time and desire for them? And another interesting point - do you play the first game of any major series (for example, Tomb Raider, The Elder Scrolls), before passing the new ones, or immediately proceed to their modern versions? Thanks in advance.

Better than the modern ones, but of course there are exceptions. For example: The Witcher series, GTA, Wolfenstein which are great. Simply because then there was a different attitude to the games (and players), making games with soul, but now the primary objective is to get as much money from the CA. Yes, and in general modern games, somehow degrade, the main emphasis is on simplification, graphics (the latest NFS and Mafia, for example).

I have a very positive attitude towards old games. First of all... It's a way to survive when the developers overestimate the requirements and games stop working, for example, in the absence of support for VK directx11 and higher. Secondly... Old games often provide a new gaming experience, especially if you play them after the new ones. For example, I was happy to pass Morrowind for the first time in 2020, after which Skyrim seems some kind of corridor, dull and sparse. In the third scrolls I liked a more diverse gameplay - the armor wears down, blunt swords, magic school more diverse - a bunch of all the unique spells, the mark, the return, levitation, etc. In Morrowind the developers also took the quests very seriously, you can pass them literally by the description of the landscape and do not need any markers, which turned the last Scrolls almost into a corridor platformer with rpg scraps.

For me, old games are the heart of all my pec gameplay. If I didn't have them, I wouldn't be sitting here at all, not having a PC and praising the graffin' peca gods.

I'm fine with it, especially with the strategy rts, there's not much new there, but there are great remasters of old games like age of empires 2, I've replayed the campaigns hundreds of times

I like the old games because they were games, not more or less, and even then there were pioneers in different genres. But the new games also try to get a share of fun, even if I do not always get it

It's interesting to go through an old game on different platforms and then on a smartphone

I'm not particularly concerned with projects 90s, still there specific 3D was in the games, and I did not catch games there except for 8 or 16 bit. But the games that went from the early 2000s and beyond it's all played well for me, I even like the simple graphics, it is not overloaded with modern special effects and washed out. And with the emulators you can play games from the consoles of those years, there is a lot of good.
While the games that went with the generation of xbox360, ps3 is well said modern games with modern mechanics that are still a standard and played these games are good.

The more I see modern games, the more I want to play old ones, my disgrace to them.

I don't want to play the tomb rider at all in the one from the nineties. Or allowing in the planes from the nineties. It's a nightmare. It's sick people only play airplanes. Because the graphics there are a little worse than they are now.

Since PG is the abode of the PeCa boyars, to them the old games are Fallout and Doom. Which makes it sad and frustrating. People are games that in fact do not know. Doom and Fall for most are very modern games, but here it is a retro. What the hell )))
