Your favorite games of the decade (2010-2019)

The results of the 8th generation of consoles too early to sum up, because there is still 2020, with many anticipated releases, but you can chat over the current decade to the end which is only a month and a half.
During these ten years the industry has strongly shaken up, and a lot of interesting things happened, the game finally turned into a mainstream pastime has grown a whole generation, for which Skyrim was the first game, the single player game were buried and dug back in, Indy managed to capture the media space and quickly sink into oblivion, there was a total and so far irreversible shift of power in the race of platformability, evaluation of games journalists and players have practically ceased something to mean, in the network game themes immersed in the toxicity and incompetence over the years we have experienced luchbox, almost made it through the Royal rumble and, unfortunately, did not survive the dominance of open world games.
I think it's time to announce the results for 10th and remember, what game in what year touched the chord of your soul the most. I'll start.

2010 - VANQUISH. In my opinion, one of a kind character-action third-person shooter, stylish bullet explosive excitement with great replayability and the opportunity to improve your edge until you're blue. The passage of the sixth tactical challenge is what is remembered if not for life, then all time Hobbies games.
2011 - Dark Souls. The game, which turned my idea of gaming as a whole, the game that taught me how to play games in new ways, learn to discern the work of the designers, to see how sometimes subtly and jewelry all arranged games, taught to understand the mechanics and appreciate the gameplay as the most important value of video games. The souls I feel like he was reborn and turned this hobby for myself into something more serious, grown-up and conscious.
2012 - Dragon's Dogma. Probably the weakest year in the list, he couldn't remember and had to climb over a list of games released this year. Chose Dogma, because I liked the gameplay mechanics, bosses, variety in gameplay with the game for different classes to play was quite fun unlike Dushnitsky Headlight Edges and maxes pains are.
2013 - The Last of Us. Another choice here could not be, naughty Dog has set a new level in creating the action adventure. Besides the obvious advantages I want to note that even though this game came out on the PS3, the level of implementation of she pulls on a game for PS4, gene-paste it gives only the lack of some graphical buns and prerenderennye the cutscene. In 2013, special mention should also be Metal Gear Rising for its momentum, bosses and music.
2014 - Bayonetta 2. Another weak year, had to choose between Bayonetta 2 and Dark Souls II. Yes, this year, which makes one think of DSII as the game of the year, lol. Stopped for Bayonetta, because unlike the second shower, it gives the original a little bit, it's the same endless fun, albeit with a slightly broken combat.
2015 - Bloodborne. An evolutionary offshoot of Solav, thanks to its clipovoa setting, Laura, combat system, weapons and bosses feels very innovative regarding their own predecessors and is my favorite game in this subgenre, one of the contenders for the best game of this generation. Still dreaming about the sequel.
2016 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. I love Nathan Drake, and this is his most personal and most adult travel, especially love this part at the feeling of being the hero makes it in recent times. Best shootout in the third person, both in terms of design and in terms of implementation themselves a mechanic (shared it with a spin-off about the girls), very nice graphics, very nice characters and locations, very sweaty coop-survival mode (my favorite coop experience over the years). I know that for some fans, the Quartet did not meet expectations due to the changed tempo and a more serious approach to the characters and story, but for me this is a very significant game. Also in 2016 is very worthy of mention The Last Guradian and the Witcher: Blood and Wine.
2017 - Nier: Automata. Have not played any Zelda, no Horizon, and in the NIR were playing on the floor the bumps (will catch up), but in the heart was struck by the appearance of the heroine and music design of the game, so in 2017 we will choose it.
2018 - God of War. This is the most difficult choice, because in the same year came the Magnum opus from R*, which I love for the atmosphere and history. Thought long and probably in the future can change my opinion, but is still tied for first place GoW, just on the basis of dry evaluation of components of these games. GoW is a very bold take on an old franchise, is a perfect example of the restart-continue, which preserves the legacy of the original in terms of Laura and thus not a parasite on the outdated 10 years ago the original mechanics, giving the player a brand new, more complex and serious experience. GoW is something like a perfect game in a vacuum, the game is without flaws, and in all this list it is perhaps the only such.
2019 - Devil May Cry 5/Death Stranding. The whole year I'm stoked for DMC5, but it happened on 8 November and the game Kojima saw the light, I have not yet passed, so can't say for sure that I will choose in the end, but it is difficult to take into account the brand's innovative approach to creating games in DeStra.

Waiting your answers can be brief, it can be deployed, you can simply list.

2013 It's complicated: I can remember good games, but the favorite - no;
2014 Divinity Original Sin;
2015 The Witcher 3/Battle of Empires 1914-1918;
2016 Total War: Warhammer;
2017 Total War: Warhammer 2/Divinity: Original Sin 2;

2019 Repetition of the history of 2013: there were a lot of games, including good ones, but there are no ones who could become favorites. I'll play At Phoenix Point next week, Mechwarror 5 will come out - maybe they'll fall into the shower.

The format of the theme is set by the author (one year - one game), I will try to follow it, but with their amendments and as more objectively as possible.
Despite some diamonds (and even diamond years), the decade was ambiguous, which is quite natural.

2010 - Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games in history and the moment when Rockstar Games finally established itself as one of the best studios in the industry, which was not obvious until this year.
The year itself was strong, one of the strongest in the decade.
Honorable Mentions: Halo: Reach, Sid Meier's Civilization V, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Vanquish, Heavy Rain, Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

2011 - Portal 2 - a great sequel, the best game Valve, which complemented and improved the mechanics of the original, as well as shown, perhaps, the best result of the script work of the company. The GladOS machine has more life than the main HL cast.
This year is a year of sequels (mostly triquels), good and not very good.
Honorable Mentions: Uncharted 3, Dark Souls, The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Resistance 3, Total War: Shogun 2.

2012 - Journey is an amazing adventure and aesthetic experience in the format of a short video game.
The year is frankly weak, the third worst year in a decade.
Honorable Mentions: Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3.

2013 - The Last Of Us - A few years ago I would have chosen GTA 5, but years later I see that in addition to purely technical achievements (attention to detail, the best city at that time) it has little to offer, unlike RDR or the same four, which after years remain great games. TLOU is a good attempt to tell a dramatic story in the format of a modern video game, technically flawless, with certain merits, but also with obvious artistic flaws that do not allow to talk about it with a breath outside the gaming industry.
The year is bright, but only at the expense of the two titans mentioned above.
Honorable Mentions: - Grand Theft Auto V, Bioshock Infinite.

2014 - Alien Isolation - by exclusion, due to the fact that this year was the worst game year not only decades, but also the 21st century.
Honorable Mentions: Divinity: Original Sin.

2015 - Life Is Strange - Dontnod showed artisans like Cage and Teltail what interactive movie games really should be. Atmospheric, dramatic and in some way charmingly naive adventure.
The year is very bright, good compensation of the previous one.
Honorable Mentions: - Bloodborne, SOMA,The Witcher 3, Pillars Of Eternity.

2016 - Uncharted 4 - another leap above the head in terms of performance quality and arguably the best ND game after the second, although personally I don't have much heat left for this game three years later, but objectively it's a great game.
The year is good, mostly on shooters.
Honorable Mentions: - The Last Guardian, DOOM, HITMAN.

2017 - The Legend Of zelda: Breath Of Wild is Nintendo's next (and best since TP) masterpiece, all that is required of a video game as such, at the highest level.
The year is golden for the Japanese gamedev.
Honorable Mentions: - Persona 5, Nier: Automata, Divinity: Original Sin II.

2018 - Red Dead Redemption 2 - I genuinely wanted to give the game of the year God Of War, simply because RDR 2 does not fit within the framework of GOTI because of its epochality. It's the best game of a generation, one of the best games in the history of the industry and the first game (given the Games Dogs and Kojima as attempts) that can be put on a par with the movie classics (like Scorsese and Leone in their best years), while making shameful reservations, like "from the world of video games". The highest bar - technically, scripted and aesthetically. Arthur and Dutch are some of the best characters.
The year is very impressive, at the expense of two titans.
Honorable Mentions: God Of War, Subnautica.

2019 - Death Stranding is an exception, as the year is frankly weak, and Kojima has created a very ambiguous game with non-justifying claims. And yet, the game has advantages, like an interesting atmosphere, gameplay mechanics and the plot in general, besides it is the best game of Kojima since MGS 3.
The year is the second worst in a decade.
Honorable Mentions: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

which can be put on a par with the film classics
That's exactly what KINOclassy, gygy.
Spoiler2015 - Life Is Strange
I'm not commenting on anyone here, of course, but you, sir, are clearly an aesthete. 20 mother of his 15. Year of the Witcher, Bloodborn, IHS WI.
Life is Strange...

Spoiler is overrated, IHS Wee can hardly be called at least acceptable, let alone gothy, and Bloodborn is too niche, albeit magnificent.

Reading this particular topic I really realized that "how many people - so many opinions" and that it is foolish to hae other people for their tastes, which are sometimes very different from yours. Thanks to the author for the top and everyone who commented on it.

Gauguin
Well, yes, the Witcher without additions overestimated by 1.5-2 points, and MGS V scripted and directing is not finished, but still it's a cool GAME, and LiS is not particularly game ...
Your personal case, I'm not criticizing anything, just against the background of other elections that are logical, this one looks pretty wild, given the context of the 2015 bombshell.

Shtaketmaster
We all just need a little love and understanding before entering the new decade.

This is a crisis decade, no true masterpieces were published. There were large and decent releases - no more and no less but a v! It didn't happen!

Someone wrote that to understand the plot of Nier: Automata you need to go through twice. It was the first time I passed it once. But the second - 5 times, and then not opened all the endings ... By the way Nier now on the emulator well in 60 fps runs.
And so, in 10 years has passed at least 200 games. It is difficult to divide from breakthroughs, word in the genre, middle, etc. And it happens on the contrary, the average game on reviews, but you pass with great pleasure. There were a lot of great games. But the worst thing is that every year the optimization falls. They release almost betas - alphas, and for the full price tag ...

He is not a fan of writing anything, but on such an occasion you can speak out. Why not.

2010 - Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; Battlefield Bad Company 2; Limbo.

2011 - Dead Space 2; Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception; Driver San Francisco; Portal 2; DiRT 3; suddenly Infinity Blade II on iOS.

2012 was a weak one for me. The Walking Dead was a favorite game, although Max Payne 3 and Journey were still good.

2013 - The Last of Us, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, The Wolf Among Us, Crysis 3, Tomb Raider.

2014 - and there were some good games? From something remarkable for myself I can note only Watch_Dogs.

2015 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; Life is Strange; Need for Speed (well, xs, actually).

2016 - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End; Doom; Unravel; Firewatch; Forza Horizon 3 (for lack of the best).

2017 - Horizon zero Dawn (still not completely gone, but it's still cool); Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice; Need for Speed Payback. A weak year.

2018 - God of War; Detroit: Become Human; Marvel's Spider-Man.

2019 - A Plague Tale: Innocence; Control; Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order; Need for Speed Heat (the first normal NFS after The Run, really).

In general, a good decade was given, I'm happy. Except 2012, 2014 and 2017 - that's like, no more.

T
TarakanchEg 03.11.20

played two games on the list. And to call them the best - it is more.
in 2011, if I'm not mistaken, TES5 came out. I'm still playing, only with global modifications
Don't forget About Portal 2!!! Passed this game once 10, or even more ... Love the initial atmosphere of devastation after an unknown time of imprisonment.
In 2012, he stumbled upon the walking dead. It's been a long time. Only before that I had time to watch the series a little, so a little was aware of what was happening. The first part in the end came out very mesmerizing.
2013 - The year in which me and my comp "learned the torments of ADA!" - came out extremes 3. The grass is credited there. You can heat the room. In general, the whole series came out quite interesting, in terms of fiction and shooter.
In 2014 played in the first Watch Dogs and surprisingly, the plot is quite worthy, as well as the mechanics of the game. It is not clear just why in the second part so unappetizing turned out . . .
2015 - well, The Witch 3 has the embodiment of life, charismatic Geralt, with pieces of mats for violent emotions. Some dialogues came out amusing
(especially with lute, after "trio")
There was also life Is strange. In its genre is very good. I like games, with the ability to control time (and after all, once there was such a game as TimeShift - sorry few people know)
2017. This year I will love for a long time. After all, this year Nier: Automata was released. Let the PC optimization leaves much to be desired, BUT! - the plot is magnificent. Not everyone will. Not everyone can do it. Yes yes. 2 pass. More precisely, three...
It's especially nice to play when you know the whole history of nier, including drakengard. There are a lot of references. A lot of the game gives you a lot of thought.
So... Total War: Warhammer II! Probably the only one among the wams that came out decent.
That is - the money is not in vain can be spent.
in 2018,"utube eridion was a detroid. I liked it very much (the channel of the same "Ivan" was caught.
In 2019, the metro exodus came out. Yes, it's not all smooth, but the atmosphere is credited.
Separately, I can single out Borderlands 3. Even though the epics came out, but still...
Weapons for every taste and imagination. I liked the kamikaze running and jumping cannons. Very funny from them the enemy will die (for love bots to camper near barrels of ched)

Separately, I can highlight 2010 and 2012. At the time, Mass and Fallout: New Vegas
The second mass effect came more. The atmosphere is magnificent, as ... Choice. It's good to have a save from the first one. After all that torment... For the relegation game likes.
New Vegas, on the other up, has presented interesting buns. In particular, thanks to the efforts of Obsidian Entertainment

T

you mean nier replikant?
You could have tried another drakengard to play.
nier that started essentially with the first part of the more precisely... With one possible ending
